The plastic jars are not good because they can 'leech'.....hence milk always tasting better from glass bottles, it's always more evident with dairy although that reason I don't know.
Also, if you put a moist paper towel or any variation into a jar to keep things dank, make sure you use distilled, or deionized water, another mold prevention.
Huh. So the age CAN affect the potency?.....I've used the baby food jars for ages and they seem to be nails no matter how long, 6months easy.
