What’s the best method to curing? How do I make the buds dense?

If they arnt dense on the plant you can't force them to be dense in cure

Million ways to cure, try a few at I ce , see what fits u

What methods would you say produce a quality cure?

Cure means nothing if you don't dry the plant properly. This is what has worked for me my last 3 harvests.

Hang dry entire plant for 5-7 days
Dry trim (to your liking) and remove buds from plants
Put buds into brown paper bags
Dry buds in paper bags for 5-7 days (opening twice per day and giving the bag a good shake)

This process takes 10-14 days total.

After this, take your buds and put them into containers/jars/bags (i use glass jars). Monitor the RH of the jars and don't let it get above 70%. If dried correctly, this process shouldn't be a problem. If the RH% gets above 70%, remove all the buds from the jars and leave out for a few hours. Open the jars 1-2 times per day to "burp" them. This process takes 1-3 weeks, depending on your preference. Your looking for an RH% anywhere between 55-65%. 55% and it cannot "cure" any longer. The buds will be a bit dry at this point. 65% and the buds will have a more fresh, sticky feeling. Depending on your preference, you can decide what you want.

This process takes 14-21 days total.

I feel like the weed burns much better around 50-55% RH.

Curing is a myth now haven't you heard. Pump the shit full of npk and pgr, break into pinkynail sized chunks wet trim then build a brovida shrine for it. Haven't you heard of live resin? Flash frozen? Curing is a myth!

And don't forget to spray with a popular fungicides so you'll have a recognizable product, now that weed is legal in so many states.

You may be saying this sarcastically... IMO, Don't disagree with the flushing part, but curing is NOT a myth. Resin and smokeable flower are completely different. With resin itself i dont believe curing helps at all, it's the green material that needs it. I'm in the middle of a current cure, and the difference from when it was dry, to now is huge in fragrance and smoothness.

Haha I just read up on the npk and pgr stuff. It’s sad and crazy. Do you use the drying racks? Wet trim? Or dry trim?

I wet trim, dry in a mesh rack, can in Cvaults with a bodeva and a hygrometer.

I worry that the initial dry is too quick but I hate dry trimming, it's a mess.

I wet trim on the branch, then I dry at 64F/64% RH, it takes 10 to 14 days to get there, but at day 9, I will pull one branch with a good size top and jar it in one of my 18" slim mason jars with a calibrated RH meter inserted inside. And then I let it sit in the dark for 24 hours. Then if it doesn't read 65% RH back into the drying room it goes and I then select another branch to test, but if it does read 65% RH it's time to cut them off the branch and jar them, and each jar gets a calibrated RH meter. Then I store the jars in the basement where it is 65F, and then every day, they get burped for 30 minutes, in my burping box where it is 62F / 62% RH, and I continue doing that until the jar hits 62% RH, (which takes almost 3 weeks), then I remove the RH meter and put them in my weed storage room, and then they stay there until one is needed! And I never let any of my bud while drying get below 58% RH because you will lose many of the myrcene terpenes if the RH drops below that percentage or if the drying temperature goes above 68F they will also begin to evaporate away very quickly!

Weed is the cure.

Tell that to Mexico. They can turn any bud into the densest weed youve ever encountered (some would say brick-hard). Its crazy how flat their buds grow and neatly they package together. Sometimes their buds are so dense, you cant even tell whats bud, whats leaf, whats seed, and whats stem.

It has been said that sugar water late in flower stage may increase bud density. Read it in a book.
