Curling Leaves on Seedling

This just sprouted yesterday and this morning it had new leaves. Is this curling normal at this stage? Is it under/over watered? I'm using MG Moisture Control soil and I watered last night with distilled water PH'd to just over 6. Currently have 4 23w 6500k 1600 Lumen CFLs.

if you watered last night and this is from today it could be too much water. careful with moisture control; it's easy to overwater.

do your self a favor mirical grow is a problem in the later stages you will get nute burn. That might be what is happening to them now.

Not say in a harsh way just giving you a heads up i have seen a lot of grows on her asking the same question and the end result is there soil was MG.

Also i forgot to mention maybe trying a rockwool grow medium i the soil. it would help hold moister. And when you transplant it will keep the roots better so there might be less shock

Thanks for the replies. I went out and got a bag of perlite and a bag of plain old potting soil. I mixed them up 1 part perlite 2 parts soil. I've got some rockwool cubes soaking right now and I'm going to try repotting the seeds and seedling tomorrow. If I fuck up at least it's only a few days wasted and not a month or two.

I have 5 seedlings that all just sprouted within the past 2 days and 3 of them looked like that I beleive it is from over watering because I have them in a rockwool cube soo cute back on the water..

that's a good-draining mix, and pretty close to what i use. get one of those trays that holds rockwool cubes and drop that in a solid tray, and you're set. transplant to your pots as soon as you get a shit-ton of roots out the bottom of the cubes and you won't waste your soil on weak seedlings. with the mix i watered every other day until i got a drip irrigation system and i water less but every twelve hours ... it's pretty hard to overwater when the mix is that aerated.

Since my problem seems to be overwatering, would moving the sprout into a rockwool cube just make it worse since the cubes are going to be drenched? I'm hoping I won't have to scrap everything and start over. I just can't wait another 2-3 days for seeds to germinate lol

I wasn't saying to move your plants into rockwool cubes, just let them dry out then they should bounce back.. I was just saying next time you start a grow let them germinate then stick them into rockwool cubes.. you soak the cubes and let it grow.. My prob was I gave water every day instead of every other day...

Ahh, I gotcha. I misunderstood what you were saying. I'm going to move the sprout and seeds to just the new soil mixture I made up. The sprout should bounce back, not sure what condition the seeds are in though.

I checked on the plants this morning. The leaves were still a little curled, but instead of coming out from the plant flat, they were sticking nearly straight up. I haven't added any water since I transplanted them to the perlite/potting soil mix yesterday.
I didn't have a chance to get a picture of this.
