Curling sugar leaves week 4 flower...PICS

Hello,
This is my first grow and I am starting week 4 of flowering. I’m noticing some slight curling and browning on some of my sugar leaves. I’m growing in soil and I only use nutrients every 3-4 feedings. I have a 4x8 tent and one mars hydro t2000w led light on a light rail (so it moves back and forth throughout the tent. I did have an issue with spider mites and a little PM with this particular plant kinda early on. Is this curling just a normal process of flowering or should I be worried?

Leaves curling upwards generally tell you that you have heat stress or high RH in the grow area. Since you have stated that you have had PM, I would assume high RH is your main issue as your lights are on a rail and unlikely to be causing heat stress over time. what is your RH on average?

that could be caused by the spider mites by the looks of it when they puncture the surface of the cannabis leaves. check the plants regurly as spider mites leave eggs and can further contaminate your plants the affected plants should be isolated if possible. and for those reading this that dont know how to get rid of them heres my homemade recipe

Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (white vinegar is fine too) with 1 cup of water, 1 t of baking soda & a few drops of mild dish soap into a spray bottle and lightly spray affected areas

also could be heat stress

Thank you! The light is pretty close. I’ll raise it up. I’ve been checking the plants with the magnifying glass to see if there is anything there.

Yeah good call. I honestly don't see anything else wrong so backing off on the lights can only do good for the girls.. Post back in a week and let us know how that worked and how they are doing. Keep the mites in check too! That's a more serious issue

Those look perfectly fine to me. No sign of mites and dont look like heat stress, chill dude.

If you start to see leaves turn fully upside down and they pull off easy, check for mould, but they look fine.

After checking them out one of the plants had mites. It was DISGUSTING to see them under the louper . We just threw it away. The other plants were fine. Thanks for the feedback!

can i suggest that in the future rather than wasting it and throwing it out isolate the plant strip it and cook oil with it. strip the plants leaves and bud and throw it in a 20l bucket compact it add isopropyl to top level leave for 24 hours and mash it then filter through coffee filters and put in clear container in sun until it turns clear then put in pyrex glass bowl and heat using electric frypan do it outside and never cook it near open flames let it cook down and then put in sun for 24 hours to purify and remove iso and then smoke it using pin and zig zag funnel kiwi styles. i cant stress it enough prevention is better than cure at first sign of mites use recipe above as mites lay eggs that take 1-3 weeks to hatch so please keep a eye on the rest of them

Ewwww, yuk. Don't do that... that sounds really nasty and dangerous. save the iso for your pruners - you'll get better mileage.. your plants will thank you.
when mites aren't too bad, hack off the leaves with mite bites (defoilate anything with spots... there will be eggs on em) and toss them far far away, neem what's left or move up to something stronger. If its web city, garbage bag time... if one plant had em, you'd better go take a second n third look at your survivors and treat if in doubt. make sure you got em all. Then look again
Really though, fwiw, boiling compost in isopropyl then smoking it is not something I'd reccomend.

its not nasty and you end up with a resin thats purified of iso and high thc content. yes its a little sketchy but its done like this with bud all over nz one hitter quitters we call them and the smoke is really good. its been done like this since the 70's and kiwis go mental for it

I'm super high right now. But the one bud shot looks like its pollinated.
If you have PM and the borg. Your air needs to move alot more. Get some fans and increase exhaust speed.

I just added two more fans. I hope it’s not to late. There were no males, so it’s probably PM. The one with the mites had PM and I tossed it out. I’ve been checking them to see if it spread at all. This is my first grow, so the second time around will be much better. Lol.

From my experience if one plant has PM, They will all get it! It truly is a nasty thing. I am glad to hear that you got some extra fans, they will only bring good things to your grow. Post some new pics and let's take a good look at what's happened since the last update
