Current Culture RDWC GDP x AK47 Grow

Well i finally have my gdp x ak47 babies in there new home. My veg room is 7x6x7 with a current culture rdwc 8 site with 4 pots in each site sitting under a quantumn bigdog t5 12 light running 24 hours for now. i have two 6 inch canfans for intake exhaust and a 16 inch fan for air movement. I'm running an AP 60 air pump for bubbles with 8 six inch airstones and a warm mist humidifier for when humidity drops to low. they've only been in there new home for 2 days my first water fill consisted of 100 ppm sensi grow a and b along with about 24 ml of ph down to get it to desired 6.1 ph and i will be introducing sensizyme tarantula and pirahna within the next couple days. room temp is consistent at 75 humidity at 40% and resivoir temps are at 70-72 (a little higher than i would like. Being that this is my first grow i am going to have a lot of questions on what to do in certain situations and i'm open to any comments.

That being said here are a couple of questions.
Why is my ph jumping up over night usually from 6.1 to 6.5.
My PPM in my main recirculating site is 150's but it is in the 180's in the far sites. why is that?
Also my intake and exhaust fans are running constantly other than power consumption is that bad?

Nice choice of strains. Ya definatly always have to have purple in cen cal, where I live it's all anyone ever wants.

My last grow I constantly ran my exhaust fan to keep the smell from overpowering my house and it worked just fine. One thing about runing the intake is on these cold foggy mornings it will suck in quite a bit of humidity. But ur in veg so it shouldn't be much a problem. Ph fluctuations just happen with hydro, I correct them daily because I'm anal, but to each his own. I have friends that only ph on Rez change and their plants do just fine.
I think I read somewhere that ppm's should be checked with areration off, so just take a little shotglass and pull a sample, see if there still different. If they are then maybe it's just not circulating well enough on the other end. It should be just fine.

Good luck on the first Gro, I read an insane amount the first grow I did but nothing compares to the hands on experiance u get by actually doing it. It's more important to keep a closer eye on your plants and how they react to changes you make. Right now they look great. Keep doin what ur doin.

Yeah my intake and exhaust have not shut off but it stays at a consistent 74 75. the nice thing is im not pulling in any outside air. the air im pullin is is from another air conditioned part of the house with a hepa filter inbetween. so the humidity issue shouldnt be a problem all though it has been dropping down to around 35% so i threw in a lil humidifier to bring it up a bit. im pretty anal about my ph too. it seems like im adding alot of ph down to keep it around 6.0ph it seems to drift up to 6.4 6.5 every 4-5 hours. will constantly adding ph down hurt them at all?

Just keep an eye on ur ppm's. If they get to high do a Rez change.

Btw if you haven't read this yet I highly recommend it. It's good to follow a nute schedule but watching your plants reactions, knowing when u have a deficiency or toxicity and correcting it at first sight is great knowledge to have. It's a bit much to take in but if you can you will grow great plants.

Btw this is still my first year growing so I don't have expert knowlege or anything. But I have kicked out some killer buds. You have a killer grow going on man. Be carefull who knows about it. People have big mouths, even people that u trust. And with that many plants and that much beautiful equipment you better have some good security. I wouldn't want to see someone just get starting out with SO much invested get ripped. Just never forget how many people there are out there just drying to get their filthy hands on your babies.

I just started reading it. thats extremely informative thanks for that. and oh yeah i know how greedy and to what extent people will go to to get something they want at someone else expense. this is an extremely tight lipped program i have going on. a grower friend of mine recommended throwing adv nutes pirahna tarantula and sensizym and the ppms are at 450 now and dont seem to be going anywhere but the plants should really take off now. so i take it you've learned a ton in this first year of growing how many crops have you got off?

Yea they should really start with some vigorus growth now.

I first started off with some bag seed in party cups last winter then when spring came around I put them outside. Shortly after a friend of mine brought by a hefty amount of strawberry cough clones. At the time it was still so early in the year that it was less then 12 hrs light so everything went into flower by June it was going back to veg and wasn't rype yet but I pulled it down anyways. Big mistake, I shoulda let it revert and grown bigger but o well. So then I figured I better start reading up online so I wouldnt fuck anything else up. So I went on night after night for a few months just reading through every cannabis forum online. I picked up a 5x5 tent, a 1kw global green house digital ballyst, 6" can fan, Ph pen,ppm pen, some canna coco and their whole line of nutes. I grew Pot Of Gold, PurplexMango, and thc bomb. The purple came out phanomonaly, I swear it tasted like smoking a bowl of fruity pebbles. The nugs were so dark, frosty, stinky and dense. Definatly some of the best weed I've ever smoked it blew my mind that I actually grew it. The pot of gold was a good yeilder, good taste, good frost and smell but when put side by side with the purple mango it stood no chance. As goes for the thc bomb. Well it's not a strain I will be growing again, didn't taste bad or anything but it just wasn't anything special. Just weed ya know. Total that grow with 3pog, 1pm, and 2 thcb I pulled 1lb3oz. This grow I decided to go hydro, I bought a 4x4 ebb n flow table with hydratron in grow bags. All purple mango this time... After 2 weeks into the grow I pulled everything down because I saw on the news a family from tulare, parents my age doing the same thing. Within legal limits, but they had a young child, I guess somewhere in the law it says u can't grow medical in the same house that your child under 13 lives in. Even if it is behind hevily fortified locked doors. Well, being that I don't ever want to risk losing my 5 month old daughter I decided it was time to pull the plug. I still have enough medication from last harvest to get me through for a while but in a few weeks it's going to be hard to find any. They just closed every club in Tulare county, and I know Fresno is trying to do the same. I don't know where patients will go now. I sure hope your club makes it. There are alot of people in need in the central valley but law enforcement doesn't give a FUCK! Augh I hate living in this county! Such close minded assholes!

Dude i feel ya the central valley law enforcement, city council, etc think their shit doesnt stink and they dont care whether what they're doing is morally right or even legal for that matter. they'll do whatever it takes to have it their way. I'm having to jump through hurdles left and right to get this going. I'm trying to kiss the right asses and make friends in the right places to get this to work a little smoother and have as little resistance as possible. Hopefully the location we are looking at will come through it is gonna be on manning just outside of parlier and im using harborside and medithrive as models for the club very comfortable and compassionate and setting a higher standard for clubs around here is my goal. I'm tired of seeing these dive hole in the wall places who are cutting every corner not paying taxes and running it like its still a black market. They're screwing it up for those who truly need there meds and those who are trying to show that this can be a legal thriving economy.

Well I'm glad your going the legal route. My county won't even allow a club. Sure some fly by night black market clubs pop up here and ther but your right. Those are the people killing medical cannabis! Everyone always says "taxed medical cannabis could take care of so and so much of californias debt" and then they don't even pay their taxes. WTF! Lol. And ya, shitty enough to get what you want out of local gov you need go know the right people and kiss the right asses just the right way. In my county as long as you higher one of the judges favorite local attorneys your ass is scott free, or a slap on the rist. It's the same thing every time, court is in order, judge calls attorney to the front. They bs for a couple minuites attorney comes back and judge says probation, comunity svc, house arrest, or some other bs. And if you don't have the money for the attorney you get a public definder that doesn't do shit and you pay fines out the ass ontop of weekends in jail with probation and comunity svc. It just seems so crooked.

No im not an OU grad but i'm getting advice from some of the best the guys legally from CCI cannibus career institute (not exactly a school or classes to attend) and we're having matt kumin write up our co op he helped draft prop 420 and sb 215 or one or the other im a lil to stoned to remember at the moment (Northern Lights #5 x Bubba Kush all i gotta say is OMFG super stony). dude i've been on both sides of that when i was younger i let public defenders take care of my situations nothing to serious mostly traffic violations a couple of which were on my dirt bike which was bs because had i known back then if i had hired a lawyer it would have cost me less and hurt my driving privileges alot less. ive ran into a couple more traffic situations because of a lead foot no license and the previous problems and have hired good lawyers to take care of it and now its like these situations didnt even happen compared to the public defended ones which fucked me over. theres no reason to go to parlier its not a nice town by any means but the locations and availability of permits requires less resistance and hurdles. eventually once these city councils realize we're not going away and they'll have to give in some time and get there heads out of there asses i'll find a premiere location in fresno somewhere.

Yea I have been lucky, I dont have as many tickets as I should. I have a VW Corrado that I have modified to take on some pretty crazy mountan runs. Damn do I love curvy roads. Worst ticket I have had I was bein a moron and weaving traffic going north on 41 and after I merged onto 180 there was instantly red and blue behind me. Damn I could go for something new. I've been smoking on my 3 strains for some time. It seems like I am so familiar with the highs that it gives me that it doesn't even knock me off outa my britches anymore. Even when I pack a bowl of purple with a bubble hash capper I won't get to retarted. I miss getin baked. I need to grow some 100% indica strains. I have a purple kush mom that's pretty grown out, I sure feel like some pk. Haven't had it in a while. To bad I won't get any for about 3 months. Not like I can just go to the club and get some primo herb now that their all closed.

That's cool that ur getin that dude to wright ur co op, how does a co op work? I don't know much about the legality of clubs.

So have ur ladies taken nicely to the stronger nute solution? I haven't used much of the advanced nutrients products, only jumpstart.

I was looking at the pictures of ur flower room and I noticed that your spinners don't look like they have any hight adjustment. I know the guy that sells these lights and he says that having the light just the right hight off the plant makes for better penitrarion and over all much higher yeild. He uses an infared temp gun on the upper leafs along with a light meter and puts the lights just high enough so that they don't burn the leafs. I guess u can get them pretty close but if you get them to close the plant gets to much light and it stops vertical growth. Do you know anything about this?

my ladies seem to be liking what's goin on now i've found the right water level they like and im starting to see roots so they should get some good growth here pretty quick. i have multiple hangers for the spinning lights i just have my shortest ones in their for now so that i dont smack my head everytime im working in there lol. im looking into to getting an infared gun and light meter so i can figure out the best positioning for my lights. im starting to hear thats pretty key.

sounds like a nice setup here....

not sure you want to be using ph down all the time since that makes it sound like something is going wrong that's systemic instead of just a minor problem.

can't really tell from yoru pics since things are looking pretty good so far.

just keep checking in on stuff and maybe the ph will figure itself out

or you might want to cut back on the nutes a little bit to see if that helps. try going a little lower dose and that might get things under control...

somtimes things just go wonky for a bit and then they settle out...maybe you just need to be patient????????

Ya I hear that it's the secret to the spinners. If you go by Kronik gardening or give them a ring I'm sure they would explain it all to u. The guys there are pretty cool. They explained it all to me once but I can't remember exactly how it all works. Although I hear when u get it right that you will have buds so sticky that you can touch a bud with your pinkey finger then touch a quarter and pick it up just with the stickyness of your finger. (so I hear) . So how much longer till you put em under the spinners?

treeburner - i've realized that in the first 48 hours of mixing a nute batch the ph buffers in there are still working so it does go a lil wonky for a bit then it usually levels out around 6.2 i've been adding a bit of ph down every once in a while to keep averaging around 5.9 for the best nute uptake. Patience is something i've always had to learn the hard way lol. Vdber - Where is Kronik gardening at? i'd definitely like to give them a call or stop by im actually looking for a new place to start picking up supplies because the guy i have been goin through is jacking me around and really starting to piss me off. my buddy was running some bubblegum a lil while back and he had it setup nicely and like you said you can touch a nug then touch anything else and its stuck to you. i should be putting in the healthiest 16 into one of the systems near the end of next week then throw others in once they build up a better root structure and im gonna run some topping and fimming tests on the other batch. my plan was to run 2 per bucket in the flower room but i have been advised not to do that by the owners of current culture so my plans have had to change abit. hopefully we'll see some plants under the spinners soon.

He knows alot about the spinners and he actually learned it all from the guy that invented them. Kronik is a good place to go for most needs and good prices. I have shopped around and Kronik and Kaweah Grower Supply in Visalia have the best prices. It just depends what ur looking for tho. Kaweah carrys EVERYTHING(but spinners)! Kronik specializes in spinners and still has all the essentials but some things still have to be ordered. I'm picky on where I shop. I don't like shady places that seem like there ran by shady people, even if they seem the least bit shady I never go back.

i called the guy today and talked to him seems like a cool guy im headed up there tomorrow to check it out and possibly pick up a couple lil things that are needed and price out a couple big things. thanks for the tip i thought i knew about most of the shops around here but id never heard of that one.

hows that charcoal filter doin? I heard those type were crap is it?

I used to not have any ph fluctuations when using RO and Flora Nutes. I just used the 3 part formula. Id check it every night but Id never need to correct it.

When I introduced enzymes I had huge upshift in PH which is the enzymes reacting to Calcium or Magnesium.

About cooling the water, I totally recommend it, I had my water at 75F and it caused root rot. I just stick a bunch of small water bottles in the fridge and use 3 or 4 of them per res, and by how warm the water feels. If it feels cool I add 2, if it doesnt feel hot or cold, 3, of hot, 4 or even upto 6 bottles. Last thing you wanna do is grow for 2 months only to kill off the plants with root rot like I did.
