Curvy Leaves?

Can someone tell me whats going on here?

This is my friends plant. Sorry for the pic quality, she sprayed it on counterstrike source and I screenshot it and clipped it with paint.

I thought maybe a heat issue.

She is using a 600watt HPS and say the lights are over a foot away.

Personally I use a 1000watt HPS and have them 6-10" away with no problems...

Any help appreciated...

water and move light back i got a 400w hps and that shit is 18- 20 inches away unless u have a vent on ur reflector u cant get that close w/o burning and if u go too close u loose ur lummen to plant raion....u could also get a fan blowing straight up at the light that will help a lil

so you think its heat like me?
