pics tomorrow and im aware im not mr ganja yet shack thanks for rubbing it in! well long story short due to some arguement between siblings im down to 3 plants maybe two. all four are still alive but two arent doing to hot. lets just say that axe body spray can be used as a ganja plant murdering substance.

Keep faith, this plant is crazy tough. I have had plants survive some stupid mistakes I've made. Sorry for the troubles, but I am sure all will work out. :peace:
 
i dont use that shit. its like acid to plants my brother sprayed it into the intake fan. i think the three wonder women stand a chance i know two of them do for sure but the LA women is pretty much toast.

Hey DW. So sorry to hear about the axe incident. I was really looking forward to seeing that plant. Those wonder woman genes look hot though, so you should still fill up that cab soon enough :)
Sounds like you are going to be the guinea pig on those big cfl's. I see you have a lighting guru but I'm not sure I agree with his suggestions. I upgraded my 125w to a 150w bulb and it bleached the shit out of everything. It only puts out 9700 lumens and anything within 6 inches blanched overnight. The veins are green enough but everything else is what decorators in UK call apple white, it may look good on walls but it doesn't suit fan leaves :(
Here's a pic of a plant that was 4-5 inches from it before I sorted out the problem just to show you what can happen if you don't show that bulb some respect. Hope you don't mind me posting it.
And ffs sake buy your siblings some ona block for their armpits :)

Quick kudos to Shack R while I'm here. Loved what you said about molasses.
I was right with you up to flushing with it. The reason I don't do that is because when you mix up the molasses with the water you use up all the absorbancy of the water so it can't take up anything else, which surely makes it useless for flushing things. Just MHO.
 
v12xjs - Would rather not clutter up DW's cool thread but am here to help. I run quite a few large CFL's from 250w down to a bunch of 42w bulbs. I have had issues where the plants grew into the bulbs and burned, but never "bleaching". I keep my 250w maybe 3" away from the top of a main cola. No issues. From your pic, I can see a nute issue, not a light issue. Hard to tell, but I would lean towards a mg deficiency. Could be a potassium issue, as potassium in exess amounts can aggravate the uptake of magnesium, manganese, zinc and iron and effect the availability of calcium. Zinc or Iron deficiency could also be at fault. Anyway, if you need help with that plant, and have a thread, I'd be more then willing to take a look. I am by no means a "guru" and never called myself that. I may not know much, but I am more then willing to share the little I have learned. :peace:
 
I use GH Flora Nova nutes like DW. The Lucas formula is based around them. If you think they are deficient then talk to GH or Lucas.
The sun maxes out at 10,000 lumens but those bulbs knock out 15,000 and that's measured 1 foot from the source. At 6 inches the lumens are more than doubled and at 3 inches they are way more than quadrupled. That's 60,000 lumens directly on the leaf that you are talking about and you think it's a nute def?
Let's just say I beg to differ.
 
ill have pics tomorrow tomorrow and you will see how well some and doing and how terrible others are(la women) bulbs probly 4-5 inches away with no bleaching and some very compact nodes, might raise the light a touch to strech a bit so i can LST or ill be waiting forever seeing the nodes are so tight

A 1000w lamp produces 150,000 lumens... I don't think a tiny little CFL producing 9,000 lumens will outshine that.

If you want a mature debate, PM me. Don't use childish comeback like " If you think they are deficient then talk to GH or Lucas." It's childish and immature to say the least.

Again, my 250w is 3" from my main cola, no issues. You are a little confused on how lumens work, this is obvious from your explainations.

Lets say you have 3 plants positioned around a 42 watt cfl. All 3 plants are exactly 2 inches (same distance) from the cfl bulb in the middle, the cfl bulb is 2800 lumens.

Question: How many lumens are each plant getting?

Answer: 2800!

The trick is to have your plant getting hit by as many cfls as possible at the same time. This does not increase the lumenous intensity your plant is getting, but it does increase the quantity of light your plant is getting from certain directions. If your plant is getting 1650 lumens from one side because it is 4 inches away from a 2050 lumen cfl, and on the other side it is right next to a 2050 lumen cfl getting a full 2050 lumens, then in theory the plant is being exposed to 3700 lumens of light at varying intensities from different angles.


Perhaps your strain was hyper sensitive to light.
