Cut a bud off to sample. At week 7 and wanted to try it. Will this damage the rest of the plant or cause hermie?

it won't be worth it, still need weeks to day and cure it, plant will be fine though.

no it will not.imagine if a goat bit a leaf and it hermied next day.
i usually pluck leafs and buds before the end of flower to smoke nothing happens.

I like to sample tester buds along the way just to see what I've got..
Doesn't hurt a thing..

Should not harm the rest of the plant or cause it to become a hermaphrodite. However, it’s important to be gentle and careful not to stress the plant. Also, remember that buds harvested earlier will not have the same potency or flavor profile as those that are allowed to fully mature.

Sure you can cut a bud with no ill affects to your plant at any time. You’ll still need to dry and cure the bud to make it worth smoking which is really hard to do for a single bud. Patience is a must, you’ll be rewarded for waiting.
