So like my title said I cut a little bit of one of my fan leaves tips because it got a little light burned,
And I cut it off. it was like half an inch.. if that. maybe even quarter of an inch.
I did it about an 3 hours ago and it still looks fine but I just wanna make sure.

She is about 40 days old, and 7 inches tall

I know its bad to cut a lot off. but I figured it would be better to cut it instead of the plant trying to repair it.:-(

Do you think she will be okay?

LMAO. You're fine. Those girls are alot tougher than many people think. You could cut half off of every leaf and it would recover and live on.

Lol I figured. I just need... reassurance. you know? like they are my babies!

my first grow I cut one of them and the whole leaf died after I cut like an inch off so I didnt want that to happen again.

Thanks man! +rep!

the only thing you should take off is the plant material that rubs away between your fingers. if the plant is still giving it moisture then it still wants it, probably to eat its stored nutes. just let your plant decided when to let leaves fall. if you try and do this for the plant it will only cause stress(so little stress though, you wont see any change)

Cut it off. I have trimmed a few off my plants for the same reason or to let light through to lower parts of the plant. Just don't get crazy and remove more than a few. One...no worries!

Ya you'll be fine...And waiting for leaves to get crispy is messy shit indoor...If I see a yellow leave way at bottom not getting much light and it comes off easy.....it was ready to be beheaded.

wish i read this earlier :( i just cut like 10 leaves off cos a lamp dropped on it but they werent even black just a bit wiltered....does cutting off leaves effect the flowering process, i mean if one fan leave is off on one side, and the other symmetrical one is there, will the area without the leaf still get good buds?

No worries! I do the same thing. I feel it is like when a person is badly burned. Doctors will debride the dead skin so the necrosis does not spread.

You should let the plant decide, wait till she tells you she wants the leaf gone before you pluck. If your getting light burn move your light a bit, dont get gready with the light if your burnin your to close!!
