Cutter Cree Strip Tests

@TEKNIK
My vote for next up for testing are the new nichia optisolis chips that cutter got in stock.
Theres 3000k, 4000k and 5000k in 98cri. They look like they peak around 660nm. Have look at the spectrum and tell me if it doesnt give you slight led boner. Might try to do a solstrip with 2000k / 4000k 98 cri and a 660/UV channel and be done with all this spectrum jiggling...
Well, perhaps the next best thing is @TEKNIK has two High Lights (3 colour and 2 colour) and a HLG QB324 V1 to test.

All feature Nichia LEDs. Ours have the latest NF2W757GT-V3F1 CRI90 2700K leds, plus Optisolis 2700K, plus Seoul Semiconductor Sunlike CRI95 in 6500K. The QB324s use Nichia 6V LEDs and are a mix of CRI80 and CRI90 at 3000K.

It won't exactly be an apples to apple comparison, but an interesting one nonetheless.

Are these cutter strips tested on page one same as the Cree J series JK3030 on sale at cutter? Is the 4000k in the test same as ssk-1560-40CR?

shame he was banned, but man he coulda chilled out a little on sunni and the mods if he did want to stay, he was pretty relentless so it was inevitable

Smart guy tho, i would love to have access to his testing and information, he obviously knows the LED world

Ya, me and @TEKNIK cool too but damn - you can have an opinion without destroying so many peoples threads in an almost harassing manner :eyesmoke:

Well said. He has a lot knowledge, but it comes with a hell of an attitude.
He liked Rocket Soul's post, so I think he might be in purgatory rather than totaly banned?

Hey guys

im about to order 60 of the 90cri strips, gonna cover a 3x12 table. (20 per 480 or 600 driver i think?)

Wanted to add some of the 660nm strips for the red, was wondering what guys are doing, how many strips of the reds per fixture

Which ratio strip are being used? or are all of them fine and serving similar purpose? Will these strips require a separate driver to run them?

4 deep red, 8 far red??
3 deep red , 9 far red??

want to make sure im buying the correct parts.

I would ask @welight for the spectral graph and lumen per watt data before ordering.
He said he was going to correct the misinformation and upload the proper datasheets and spectral graph but he hasn't that I can see.
I was going to order 60 myself but if the data's not available then im blind.

Thanks Corey, i was unaware of the misinformation.

I waited too long on the bxeb strips and they sold out, I was smart enough to get the fseries strips i wanted but since then they sold out lol

Now i need strips for a 3x12 project , cutters look good and are in stock, I am ready to pull the trigger but def want to make sure im getting the correct parts.

The parts for assembly are in stock. They build them in house.
The stock photo they use states 195lm/w but that's on the 80cri, the 90cri says nominal 155lm/w. But lm/w isn't everything.
Also the scale showing lm/w for different currents is 80cri but its on the 90cri pages, that needs sorting out.
I was talking to random blame about this a few week ago and he suggested running a mix of 80cri and 90cri to boost the lm/w figures. Something like a 60% 90cri 40% 80cri.
The 90cri go further into the deeper red spectrum , that's why its pissing me off not having exact spectral chart and scaling current to lm/w data for each cri and each Kelvin.

I think they are a great option when your getting that top price break. But lack of data is frustrating.

Disclaimer, I am part dunce when it comes to these things. So not the best person to listen to. :dunce:
Always thought cutter was a great place to spend your money though, very competitive and they know their LEDs.

Well that does seem like info we need sorted before planning the build for sure,

Cutters price point is good, the products are getting good reviews Teknik testing showed good results, ill gladly try them out, but ill also wait, as you are, to verify the info so i can build the lights exactly as i want them/ need them.
Thanks for pointing this out bud.

hello guyz
i have 2 kind of solstrip:
1) 2 channel of 96 nichia 5000k 97cri + 1 chanel with 12 cree xqe 660
2) 2 channel 96 nichia 2000 k + 1 channel with 12 cree xd16 3500k
can someone tel me what is the current for the channel with cree xqe 660 in the solstrip?
channel with 12 cree xd16 3500k ?

i wanted to put my xd16@ 3500k and the cree xqe 660 on the same channel, what would be the best current to use them pliz?.
cheers!
