I am currently running this nutrient and have a few questions and would appreciate any tips on the line. I know that it has a PH buffer and this is my first time using a nutrient such as this. Im currently running as follows:

Veg- micro, grow, plant amp

bloom-micro, bloom, plant amp, uncle johns

now I my question is that if you were to use other additives such as AN bud candy (this may replace uncle johns from cutting edge as I believe they are similar products) what will swapping those out do to the PH buffer. Should I not worry or should I still PH my water? Thank you and +rep to anyone with VALUABLE information :peace:

Hey SD,

To be honest, always ph your solutions. Don't trust the 'ph buffer'. It may work in your favour once, twice, maybe even three times, but eventually something may happen. Never trust exactly what the nute manufacturer says because different phenos react differently to different mixtures. You've got to tinker with everything, God knows I have had to. Do you really want to jeopardize all your hard work? Nothing is an exact science.

PH no matter what!

Ya! I just got a bunch of their stuff for free. It's my first grow using soil so i haven't quit figured it out yet. I don't think i understand the NPK fully yet. I got the whole ratio thing down and how it works and what it means, but their grow is 2-1-6 and Micro is 6-0-0 and Bloom is 0-5-6. So if i am following their mixing recommendations would my final NPK be 8-6-12 or 10-7-18 since grow is two part more.

If that is correct, these don't seem like good ratios or at least from what i've read. If not could you explain it to me and how i would get a good veg ratio of 20-10-10

Here's the recipe I got

GROW
Micro- 8ML per gallon
Grow-10ML per gallon
Plant Amp-2.5ML per gallon

BLOOM

Micro-8ML per gallon
Bloom-10ML per gallon weeks 1-4
15ML per gallon weeks 5-8
Uncle Johns- 5ML per gallon
Plant Amp-5ML per gallon

And from my understanding you always want to mix MICRO first and PLANT AMP last. Im also using MOAB
