Cutting plant in half?

Hey riu I was just gifted a giant ass female plant (nearly 5 feet tall) anyways way to tall to flower in my tent so was wondering can I cut stock say 2 to 3 feet let veg for a week and flower her out? Any problems?

PS the tip tops are burnt from being to close to lights so I say half way down would be good and give me room to flower her?

well lol now I knowwhy I was gifted lol small patches of powder mildew so no cuts to be taken! Just topped!

You can still take cuts from it just treat the powder mold...you can use diluted milk mixture with water to treat mold

hmmm idea, would it be less stressful for the lady if I cut each top branch, leaving the stem intact? any problems with this, could use stalk to LST her?

Depending how thick it is, it may be a bit difficult to lst without snapping it. You could do it bit by bit day by day.

I'm trying to salvage a 6' plant from a friend at the moment that was a month into 12/12!! Although I tried rooting part of the stalk with Shultz TakeRoot, isn't working so well...I took a smaller branch and tried rooting that too, which seems to have taken. The stalk part is just dieing.
