It seems like my plants have not been getting any bigger for the past week. All I am using is 5.8 ph water and clonex solution. I am also using aeroponics with 1 min. on and 4 min. off. Will trimming the fan leaves promote more growth?? heres a pic

ive only attemped one grow but i followed to rule not to trim anything unless its blocking light from the buds, but thats just me

from what ive heard the tips of the leaves have alot to do with transpiration. I think the leaves are cut to help stop water loss since the plant has no roots.

I could be completely be full of bs tho. Ive never cloned a thing. I just swear Ive read that somewhere

hmmmm, ok so in this case it would be beneficial for me to trim the leaves??

Ditch the clonex I have 100 percent success just tap water works for me. Roots Generally in 7 to 10 days. I run a 1 on 4 off also and you establish the roots on the clones and the growth will come.

Yes trim the leaves... the clones I used to get in oaksterdam were all trimmed. Yes it does help water loss. I trim all my clone's FAN leaves, about 50% on the big leaves and less on the smaller ones.

im studying horticulture i can deffenately say trimming your leaves helps your plant from drying out as it has less surface area to transpire.

You cut the leaves in half to reduce the amount of area the clone needs to support. You dont need the whole leaf. I leave 2 whole leaves on clones, then usually cut the fingers on the leaves in half
