Im reading abt topping and fiming and I'm seeing a lot of plants with trimming like the one below, can someone explain this to me? Thank you.

when i see that i assume its a clone, for the reasons rm3 stated, never heard of anyone trimming parts of leaves for light penetration

Transpiration is the plant evacuating internal moisture through the pores on the leaves right? Why would you want to slow that in a clone? Slow growth?

Transpiration raises humidity and I thought clones love high humidity is why I ask.

What happens when you have too much foliage and not enough roots?

I think clones can have more leaf material than their small root systems can support so I suspect it is done to keep them from going limp while roots develop.
