Cuttings are turning light green at the center, is this normal?

Hello,

I have 8 cuttings, 4 in plain water and 4 in FFOF. I keep them under the dome at 90-100% RH and mist them every other day.

Seeing small root growth on nearly all the cuttings in plain water, I can't tell with the ones in soil.

In the past 2 days the middle of each cutting has started to turn light green, not sure whats causing this and whether I need to remedy it.

Any thoughts?

How long ago did you cut them ?

Long as they’re standing up straight I wouldn’t worry about anything and it’s possible you got 10 more days to go I would spray wit something a tad stronger

they actually look good I wouldn’t do anything but wait

Its normal, rooting clones need energy, they get it from the leaves, that's how I know my clones start rooting by the change in the leaves.

Light green growth is usually the first indicator that roots have developed while I do a visual inspection.

Start taking the dome off or open the vent holes (if it has any) if they don't droop anymore its time to transplant.

I meant the yellowing of the tips. I wasn't really thinking about them being clones though. I was thinking a little plant that size shouldn't be showing signs to pull back on nutrients yet, but they were probably like that when you cut them.

Also I thought a few of plants were sitting in ice water at first. I like the idea of sealing in the soil as long as it isn't too wet.

Yeah I'm curious at what point do you bring down humidity on cuttings, especially ones in soil bcs I dont want my new roots to rot.
