That was...great. I came here to learn. I don't have anything to contribute to the threads here, that's why I don't step on them, until this one. I aint about nuthin, he can say what he wants about me. This guy Doer cast shade on some pretty good people...you, church, greengenes, positivity, others.Doer this fits you

While the reflector design will give you 90° angle, the hood one will not.

Just reminder that this particular hood wouldn't be 90°.Well, this thrown together artist rendition will not. But a real hood can be bent to get a 90 degree angle a little more easily that these the Sketchup models. I left off the ends on this one for clarity.
You see what I mean? Or are you saying No Hood can beat 16 Reflectors? That is surely true.
I have a 36" pebbled aluminum hood that can be any angle I want, within reason.
Just reminder that this particular hood wouldn't be 90°.
If you can get/are willing to pay for Ledil reflectors I'd use them instead of the hood. It would be actually simpler as you can attach them to a holder very easily.
Honestly, I didn't even think about attachment w/o screws.I know and thank you again, for your input. And I am just juggling some trade offs.
- don't need screws, if I don't attach a holder and a holder is needed for Ledil.
- without screws, I can go to thin wall aluminum and get much better Thermal Conductivity. (unless I am thinking about that incorrectly)
What do you think about .125, vs .25 thick square tube for this?
Honestly, I didn't even think about attachment w/o screws.
About that thickness...IDK. Thicker tube could conduct the heat more evenly over the whole area eliminating hotspots under the COBs. On the other hand the thinner one means less resistance between the source of heat and cooling medium. A simulation might very helpful there.
So you're gonna use a pump and a radiator (active probably?) in a closed circuit?
The difference you ego monster, is you produced an ugly piece of shit!!And then your re-do turned into a slightly different but more ugly piece of shit.
Neatness counts. Proper planning prevents piss poor performance, Your follow along, get it done, suits you. But, it is no hallmark of fine engineering.
Any fool can color out side the lines. And good morning to you, too.
