cxb 3590 damaged?

Another guy had a similar problem recently. He sent back his driver to Cutter and there wasn't even anything wrong with it. He just didn't have the COBs wired up with solid connections. As already suggested, you could try the driver on 1 COB at a time. That way you'll know if it's the driver or the wiring.

i wonder if the power cord is wired proper or maybe its got the load and common wires backwards.some better, more clear close up pics of the wiring might help also.like where you have the wire going into the chip lok holders.i did one up in stranded wire and every time i tried to feed them into the chip lok a strand or 2 of the wire wanted to push out and touch the metal.i scrapped that idea and went to solid core wire

I recently built a led panel with 3x 36v cobs with a erao lcn200w 180t. Wich I bought from cutter electronics. It's a 1800mah driver and it says on the website it will run between 2 and 3 cxb3590 36v. And for some reason they were working fine wen I first powered them up then they started getting dimmer and dimmer a few moments later. Idk wtf Is happening . They are not very bright at all now... Please help? They sorta flicker too
Make sure you didnt scrape any of the insulation from the wire when you fed it through the heatsink. It can short out on the heatsink causing exactly what you mention. Check the insulation real good in these areas. Also, if that is duct tape on your dimmer leads, I'd use the proper electrical tape on them. Its a good practice to ground from the green earth ground from the AC side to the heatsink as well. Good luck with your light!

Yeah it's probably from using stranded wire with solder on it instead of solid wire. Probably some flux on one of the wires causing a bad connection. Never pays to scrimp on the wire.
