He tested over 27 lights. The CFLs is just for comparison/reference. The video is was really interesting for me.not sure i want to spend time watching any 2018 study that includes CFLs
I'm pulling weight from my HID lights, i wouldn't up my yield switching to LEDs i am maxed out for light in my area the only thing i could benefit is from electrical savings which would be tiny since i have one of the lowest cost electrics in the country. Really LEDs are for people with high electric costs(not colorado people electric is dirt cheap here) . The main thing i would think LEDs help is not having to replace bulbs once a year, if you are using high priced bulbs i could see the trade off in a few years you might break even (bulbs are about 30-85$ a pop if you need an additional 1000$ to replace each fixture it will take several years of bulb replacement and energy savings to even come close to repaying your initial investment. )Exactly lol.
The initial cost of the LEDs easily is mitigated through the first harvest you pull, then some extra $ in electrical savings over time.
not actual Quantum Boards though. you can save some money by buying knockoffs but there is no guarantee of the spec you will getYou can buy directliy by different manufacturers on Alibaba, and you can save up to 50%.
There are companies which are more than 5 years on Alibaba and have good apprisal. Me myself have never bought led lights on Alibaba. So i dont have any experience though. But on the otherside, i cant believe that these companies could afford bad products or service.not actual Quantum Boards though. you can save some money by buying knockoffs but there is no guarantee of the spec you will get

That's wrong buddy, heat is based off watts used, intensity is what makes you not be able to put a plant too close to a powerful light, you can bleach your plant. With proper AIR CONDITIONING yes i said it A/C , you should be able to cool any lighting source. And you will need AC if you have LEDs too, 1000w of LED produces the same heat load as 1000w hps does only differences is the way the heat is dispersed , LEDs blow heat out their heat sinks, hps radiates heat from the lamp and ballast. You can buy directliy by different manufacturers on Alibaba, and you can save up to 50%. I recommend 2x QB with 320W for a 4x4 tent.
@Yodaweed dont forget the heat factor. You can bring LED lights closer to the canopy compared to HPS lights
u r right but u can put them closer than hps lamps, or? Lightburning is a fragile subject, i know. That's wrong buddy, heat is based off watts used, intensity is what makes you not be able to put a plant too close to a powerful light, you can bleach your plant. My cxb3590's will bleach my plant if they are too close (really strong hot spots) ~3-4 inches or less , i can get my 600w hps to touch the glass and it doesnt burn or bleachu r right but u can put them closer than hps lamps, or? Lightburning is a fragile subject.
Samsung is a korean company. You can get the exact same equipment from alibaba that you use
If anything they are getting it much more direct from the manufacturer since samsung is a Chinese company and you import their diodes just like alibaba suppliers do.
some of them might have products equal to or better than QBs. but that still doesnt make them QBs. you roll the diceThere are companies which are more than 5 years on Alibaba and have good apprisal. Still, calling them Chinese isn't exactly accurate. Might as well say "oriental" then.Samsung Electronics is currently manufacturing 50 percent of its mobile phones inVietnam and only 8 percent in Korea.
