hey guys couple more pics here, the bud looks and is starting to smell great. i stacked the blackjack on a bucket so now its closer to the light.
im getting a scope today to check trichomes. do i have to look at the whoel plant for amber or just at the top and it will sum up the rest?

and the new crop of 6 plants is coming along great.

im pretty sure most buds dont get perfectly ripe all at the same time, ive heard they mature from top to bottom and bottom to top, who knows. I'd deff check the the whole plant just to make sure, i dont know if you live in the states, but if you go to radio shack, they have those pocket microscope things, with magnification from 10x to 60x, and they're cheap too, in the event that your tops are showin amber but lower buds aren't, you could always just cut the tops and leave the lower buds on longer, but yea lookin real nice

Yea the plants generally mature top to bottom as the top is getting more light. If the tops end up being ready you can chop them off and let the lower buds finish before you take them too!

What's up Science, good to see another Coloradan on here. Cyber is one too. I've had a lot of friends chop early cause they got greedy. I'm always "when in doubt, wait longer" to harvest!

Buds are looking great dude. You gotta love fat chicks!

that Kush is looking glorious. she LORDS over the other girlies.

setting up a stadium-style arrangement of the other plants around Kush Tower couldn't hurt, in my humble opinion.

I love knowing that these gorgeous plants I see in yours and CoLove's grow are nearby :)

It's like meeting new friends!

I'd never chop early. If anything, I'll wait too long because I have a fetish for amber trichomes.

Righteous Blessings!

Haha your grow ain't too shabby yourself! You down in the front range? You at all worried about the new MMJ laws that are gonna make anyone who's a caregiver for more than 1 person register and report income?

Yeah, the Metro area

I hadn't heard about that, only that if you are giving care to more than 5, you need a dispensary license

but yes, I've been thinking about reported income and taxes a lot anyways and I'm concerned, but I haven't even had my 1st harvest yet

there are a lot of apparent loopholes; I mean, technically, growers should probably be paying sales tax just like dispensaries

Thankfully, I'm employed hourly at a dispensary that I will be vending to

So I can work with him to get an official price that I will report, if need be

Was that part of HB1284? I read that whole thing, I thought, and I didn't see anything about it

Was it added at the last minute?

Who knows, the Yellowstone Cauldera could pop tomorrow and all of this would be a soon-forgotten dream

But even in dreams, we should certainly be prepared :)

Thanks for the heads up! Can you find it in HB1284 and copy/paste, or give me the link?

And thanks for checking out the girlies!

That was a "cliff notes" passed along from a friend who owns a dispensary up here in Summit. I'll ask her what part it was next time I'm in there. I skimmed an article in the newspaper that roughly confirmed what she'd said too. Once again, no direct quoting but a summary in an editorial. I'll look into it a little

so after looking at the trichomes of a few leaves from tops id say there about 50% cloudy, and even 2 or three were amber
but im hopinh the chop about 9 weeks and that would be about 10 to 14 days. so i hope there ready by then.

the kush may take a bit longer being that its sativa.

Kush is not a Sativa.

it originated in the mountainous regions of India, Pakistan, and the Kashmir area;

not a tropical climate and one with a relatively limited growing season, so it should finish faster than any Sativas you have.

sorry to bust in :)

so maybe another 2-3 weeks?

yea 1-3 weeks, sounds good to me, how the fuck did you manage to take that picture, i have a hard enough time just looking through my scope and keep it steady, everytime ive ever harvested with mostly clear trichomes i always felt short changed at smoking time, patience young grasshopper

Good advice. My JF are entering week 11 tonight and they're just starting to cloud up a little. I have no idea why they're taking so long but the buds are getting denser by the day. Gotta wait til the plants done!

so quick question ill be putting pics up later tonight or tomarrow but i still dont know a good way to judge when to chop based on trics.
its so hard to hold that microscpe up and focus is on the bud so ive been cutting a small leaf and looking at them.
is this good enough?
how do u guys check? and do i need to look at each bud individually or can 1 top and 1 bottom be ok? they still seem partly cloudy.
im hoping in a few weeks they'll be ready because the hairs are mostly brown

I used to cut and view leaves but now I just man-handle the bud in one hand and press the god-damn scope up against it. Those scopes really seem to be a pain in the ass. I work with a SEM (scanning electron microscope) and would love to be able to post a few pictures with it. Trouble is I would contaminate everything within my work area (class 1 lab).

Just grow C99 and at 52 days cut it, accurate to within a day either way.. lol

so when it comes to trichomes crystal clear is clear right, like the ones i can see through basically and cloudy would be those which you cant see through?
i se some that are totally see through and some which look a lil cloudy but im still not sure what to look for.
any help?
thanks :)
