I make shatter everytime I run BHO and never run a vac purge. Different consistences is easy with BHO, just depends how much you mess with "whip" your end product, and what temp you use during your water or direct heat purge. Vacs just furthur extract the smallest of tane that's left, and allows you to get even more combinations of consistences, as well as help taste.
Personally, I prefer parchement paper over anything for storage.

Shatter is a consitency for concentrates like ISO or BHO. Different consitencies are like wax, crumble, honeycomb, shatter, ect. And each may have more taste or kick compared to the next.

No problem.


It's good your feeling better. For the matter of the purest or cleanest end product using ISO or BHO, I would say personally it's quality control. I burn test my product before hand to make sure it isn't doing anything weird, like popping/sizzling/odd smell/making noise. You want a clean burning end product.


Besides that though, if you are just starting off making concentrates, especially from BHO, crumble or budder would be the most reinsuraning as far as knowing all the butane is out, but as long as your purge properly, they should all be the same.


Another thing with shatter is making a stable shatter. Some people will have some shatter the first day they scrape it onto a oilslick pad, but then in a couple days have some pastey crumble or budder. Making sure you have stable shatter takes a couple more steps after the purge process I've learned.


But by far the easiest way of going about making any consistence from BHO is using a vac pump. It insures thats almost all butante is out and can be set at different stages for easy consistency choice.

Thanks. Yeah she sure is smelling super good.! I have that entire stalk crushed into 1 solid nug fitted down into my bud box. They sure are "solid" 2. should cure up nice.

Treating me great man! My only complaint is the mouthpiece has gotten hot on me but I contribute that to letting it sit too long on its side. Gotta make sure its upright, wish the stand was more sturdy but she makes perfect vapor and really intensifies the high

Details when you do please

So I decided I am going to run another small batch of BHO today. I got probably 15g+ of trim in the freezer, my tube normally fits 10-12g of trim. The trim is a combination between my 8Ball #1 and #2 close trim of all the sugary leaves, and the small popcorn buds near the bottom. I keep a decent amount of popcorn to dry and smoke, so not much of it goes into the trim, and on bigger leaves the sugary part is cut off and the less sugary goes into the compost pile, so I would consider this pretty decent &quot;high quality&quot; trim. It&#39;s super sticky and resin covered. Last time I ran a batch of 8Ball trim with some Black Domina x Bubblegum trim and got almost 2g from 11g of trim. So I&#39;m looking at maybe a little more then that, it being all 8Ball trim this time. Will post more info and pictures after the run. Happy Dabbing, ADT</p>
