Ya, that reminds me of before I got married, I was working for a Ford dealer, and after closing the swingshift, we went to the parts mgr's house, 'to drink and smoke a bit'.
Asshole gave me my first hit ever of some real good shit he had grown, and out of a bong on top of that.
I was fucked up for almost 2 hours until he finally convinced me to have more beer.

I am new to growing, grew like 15 years ago in another state, I have onl grown one plant and knew so little I got it about 2 feet high and didn't even know it had a bloom state, was on a porch.
this time, im reading as much as I can so im not as much a dumbass.
in process of building my room now, got the walls up except one. already purchased all my equipment, damn that was expensive.
then I gotta insulate inside walls, mylar them, and run electrical from my breaker box. doing hydro two plants.
cant wait.
put my mind at ease, is it very likely a newbie can get 4 ozs total within year of starting, with maybe 3 grow cycles a year?????
I kinda made a stupid bet with wife I can do that.

Little studying, little attention to your plant, (but not too much) and some patience, even on a budget it can be done.
I did my first CFL grow over the winter, ended up spending a total less than $120, and got 2.71 oz. from ONE plant.

Sweet leaf you can definitely achieve the goal you set your first time. Keep reading and just lay out a plan to make it happen and baring any crazy shit happening you'll do just fine. You've got a whole community that is usually more then glad to help out others.

Ok guys. Here are a "few" of the girls as you know.

All the pics are named. The Blueberry,Belladonna (2) are now starting to see the "pistols" showing more so. The Belladonna(1) is getting super frosty, she is working on filling in now.

The Bluedream is starting to pick up more & more each day.
Also, the clones that was took as you see in the pics, I will be replanting all of those within a few days, then there all going to flowering cycle! :mrgreen:

The ones in the grow wardrobe are doing good, the Blue Mammoth is now starting to show pistols just from "last night" and not having any!! Woo hoo! The Wild Rose & also the Casey Jones are on the count down now! 4 days till flower cycle! The Snowcap I believe I am just going to go ahead & replant her, then flower due to I've herd that strain gets super big, if topped! I am just going to let the Critical Jack Herer veg for alittle while longer. All the other girls are as you know in the flowering cycle now, I will try and post pics of those up tonight if I can get round to it..

Thanks man, first "CFL" as well as first "Indoor", but not first grow..
I only had limited budget, and limited space, and wanted something to do over the winter.

got 400/600 HPS using 400w for first grow till I see if my space can handle the heat. galaxy grow ballast, phresh filter, can fan, think I got reputable brands.

wasn't gonna say anything cause its pretty disgusting, but hell i'll give you all a laugh.

when me and wife were first talking about getting this stuff to avoid the crap associated with buying. and just getting better medicine.
we were talking if it was worth it and doable. And I was pretty confident I could in time figure it out and do ok. (at least to save enough to pay ourselves back what we spent)
Anyways I have OCD so I always second guess myself. So I realize I don't know shit and I believe that helps me learn because I tend to look for what I did wrong and learn from it.
So she says "yeah go for it". I tell her it should pay for itself in a year easy since we go thru about a oz a month. And we spent about 1500 bucks and that is what we would spend on 4 ozs at about 350 an ounce.
so while researching how to do all this stuff and realizing how much can be involved, I was second guessing myself. And said something like "I hope I can do this and we don't waste our money". (should have shut up).
So she picks up on my doubt and seemed to second guess us doing it herself. and I REALLY wanna do this.
so to show her I was confident and to calm her down and rest her fears. I said "I can get 3 ozs in one year from the time I have the room complete. and if I don't i'll lick the dogs ass".

we have an English mastiff (dog) and that's a rather large ass.
so as you can imagine, I am very motivated!

so that's why I want reassurance this is possible

I know the 'nosy neighbor' deal man, I only have one side I can put my plants, because the neighbor on one side just built an addition onto their deck, and even this space, I have to keep my height down or it could be visible from the street side. :cry:
