Dark Before Light

Was wondering if this was true! ( leave plants in dark for 24 hours and then start the 12/12) How true is that? I thought that was just for b4 u harvest. Any help/input is greatly appreciated.:peace::joint::joint::joint:

i also heard this once or twice, i even tried it on a crop a few years back, dident notice anything diffent to me, if anything i got more hermies that crop, but could just be coincidence.. but i always just straight up switch them from 18/6 to 12/12 with excellent results.
