Dark brown spots KILLED my plant!

These spots started out small near the bottom of the plant and eventually worked its way up to the top. These spots start out little and get bigger until the leaf is totally dead, my other plants seem to be okay for the moment, but i'm worried this is contagious mold/fungus whatever it could be.

These are indoor/outdoor plants. They are all given the same soil/nutrients.

What could this be and what measures can i take incase this is contagious?

I believe this issue relates to a ph issue as u can see on the veins of the leaf is where it's starting which would indicate its drinking something to much or to little it's not mold

you aren't using miracle grow are u?

also when a plants leaves shrivel up and die in my personal experience its from a defeciency as the plant eats itself to supply missing elements

YES you are right!
When the leaves curl up and crisp like that the plant is using that leaf as a feeder to support the growth. Same thing happens with tomato.

Again it does look like PH and or nute uptake. Which can be PH or Salts problem.

I had this on my first grow which im doing right now.
one plant was kicking butt the other was liike WTF. there both good now but i have noticed each plant has its own likes are dislikes! haha Just like us as people!

Make sure PH is good and Nutes are 3/4 strength or 1/2 until it recovers.
