Dark good or bad for cuttings?

I have two trays full of cuttings from my momma Romulan and a bunch of other 2-6in of clones under the same flourescent lights. I know 18/6 is fine for the clones but will the dark hurt the cuttings since they just been cutted? Do they HAVE to get 24 lights or can they go along with the clones in 18/6?

yup 18/6 is cool. it gives them a rest. the rooting process continues in the dark. Think about in nature.
