How long do you leave your plants in the dark before the crunch?

fwiw the plant in which I boiled the roots I couldn't tell much of a discernible difference other than a dead smell and appearance that came on sooner than those I didn't boil. It did dry up way faster, and I missed the RH window so will be trying again.

how long after you boiled did you wait to chop it down?

this is the kind of info i was hoping for to clarify it, i thought it made sense for the plant to try ''finish'' blooming or at least try to speed it up as nights get longer and the plant thinks winter is coming but they do that with the 12/12 switch... im still learning :P

At least a day or two, I don't recall now. The plant stayed "perky" but then took on a petrified kind of appearance. The boiled one did dry out faster than the others as it got too dry on me and I couldn't get a cure on it. Then it smelled basically how a dead plant would, like no smell and kinda earthy dirt.


Will try again for sure, there were little to no adverse effects at least observed by me so the quicker dry could be a benefit if I can get it to cure before drying to a crisp.

make sure you water the plant a day before you boil the roots. Then wait until leaves have changed color before chopping. It really just helps to speed the cure up some.

I think it would have been fine had I monitored the RH and water content of the flowers, my fault for letting them get crispy. Was still dank smoke but tasted like hell.
