Do u need a dark period b4 flower if so how long

i didnt bother with any dark period with mine i just went straight from veggin after a week. straight to 12 on 12 off for flowering and its startin to bloom now

get a few more answers from others tho first cos some strains might need a dark period before flowering stage

From my understanding the dark period helps initiate flowering quicker (but this is negligible)... really no reason to do it.

You only need a 12 hour dark period.

Yeah. I started 12/12 after about 10 days of veg. By 3 weeks old it was starting to flower.

Some people put their plant in total darkness for 24-48 hours before 12/12. I think that is what the op was referring to. Either way, like I said. no reason to. I put my girls in to my 12/12 tent right after the 12/12 tent goes dark. Working fine for me.
