Daveindiegos 11th attempt. Getting better. Plus a visit by the Cops.

Hello all. I’m here to share my 11th attempt at this growing thing. I have had some well documented failures. It’s good to report that things are getting better.

This grow is from seeds. I started the seeds (5) Chem Dawg, (1) Venom OG, (1) bag seed on August 18, 2018 in Rapid Rooters. All 7 sprouted by August 22, 2018, and I transplanted the 7 Rapid Rooters to 16oz styrofoam cups 3 days later on August 25. And then transplanted to their final home, 3 gallon pots, a week later on August 31, 2018.

For this grow, I moved out of a 5x5 tent, and into a walk-in closet.

My grow medium is Coco Noir with additional perlite added.

I use a 4 bulb, 4’ T-5 light for Veg, and a cheap ass 600w HPS Vivosun light.

For nutrients I used Emerald Harvest for the first time. I supplemented Cal-Mag, Mendocino Avalanche, and House and Garden Top Shooter.


For feeding I used a Blu-Mat, set it and forget it system. Every week I supplemented the blu mats with a ‘rinse’ consisting of a pour feeding. All nutrient mixes for the Blu-May reservoir were in 3 gallon batches, including the ‘rinse’ batch.

Around week 3 of vegetation, I got a call from the local Cops, who needed to speak with me. Apparently, while I was at work, they had been knocking on my door. After some back and forth, the cop finally says why he was calling, they suspected a marijuana grow operation and were investigating.

I LOL’d, and told them to be at my home the next day to see this ‘grow op’.

Then I got rid of one of the 5 Chem Dawgs.

Cops came out the next day. 2 plain clothes detectives and a full suited cop. I escorted them in, opened my closet, and we were done. Cop left his card, and said to call him if I have any problems.

I realized by this week that I had been fucking up using the EG King Kola. Didn’t seem to do long term damage.
