I've really been interested in growing out some autos. My setup isn't very big either 3.5x3.5x6 though so it's much bigger than yours. I live in a legal rec state so I stay within my limits. I keep a separate veg room in a closet in my house and my flowering tent is in my garage. I've been doing great off t5 for veg and a 400watt hps for flower. If I did autos I could maintain just the flower tent and add additional t5 or CFL lighting. Auto seeds are just expensive and you have to order them for every grow. I currently clone my plants for free.

Going on around day 40 of flowering. Just watered it before snapping these. She is drinking a lot more water now. Notice the cupping of the upper leaves. Is this due to a lack of water or is it getting too close to the lights? The taller colas are probably only a couple inches away from two small bulbs I have hanging off a wire.
I decided to pick a "sample bud" off the largest cola right in the under the giant main bud. These pics are of that piece after trimming the sugar leaves off and the fan leaf that was next to it. There are some amber trichcomes on the sugar leaves but the pistils are only about 40% reddish/brown if that and the rest look immature and white still. The majority of the trichomes look cloudy, at least that is what I think they look like. The pics were taken on an old phone with a jeweler's loupe so it might be hard to tell from the pics. This is now about 46-47 days into flowering. The Blimburn CR+ spec sheet says it finishes in around 50-55 days. Today was the last time I will probably be giving it nutes. I've been giving it an orchid "bloom" water soluable nute once every 3 waterings and the yellowing and withering of the lower fan leaves has stopped completely while tons of new popcorn bud are popping up on the lower parts of the stems. I'm planning on flushing until day 55 of flowering and maybe just clipping the big top buds and leaving the little popcorns for a week or two to see if they become anything significant. I don't smoke much so that tiny sample bud will probably last me a couple weeks after it is cured. From experience, it looks like it'll be a 0.5g, maybe a 0.7g when dried.
