Day 11-14 No Growth

I am using scotts soil which has VERY LOW included nutrients and my plant which is usually happy and thriving hasn't grown barely at all since day 11. I was wondering if this could be a sign she is ready for some 20-20-20 miracle grow nutes? (It's the best I can get right now)

20-20-20!??!?!?!?!?!? The fuck?!

why are you using such high percentages?!?! My God man.. you've probably burned the shit out of its root system man.

Jeeeezus. Only thing I'm going to help you with or suggest to you is.. you need to go read about nutrients and learn about the NPK system/chart.

But yeah, you've probably killed it.. or caused some kind of 'nutrient lockup/lockout'. Either that, or you've just burned the roots beyond recognition.

Go read buddy.. your not ready to grow just yet.. at least not IMO.

peace.,

Dumbass, I never even gave it nutes. I'd think before you went on a rampage you'd at least read my statement properly. I leave my lights on 18/6 so I figure if I dilute it A LOT and SLOWLY work it into it I could get her to accept the 20-20-20, maybe starting at like 1/8th

the nutes you have will probably work but you'd be better off getting something high in nitrogen. im using 10-0-0 organic miracle gro along with a small amount of 2-7-7 miracle gro cactus fertilizer. during veg you want something higher in nitrogen with low PK. then in flowering, you want high phosphorus, medium potassium and low nitrogen. so you might want to try to find some different nutes, you can get them cheap at big chain stores.

Lol come on guys. Don't take his post as an attack, its just his opinion. But he's right even if you run at a 1/8 that I think it would still be too hot. Day 11? Just water it and see how it goes. Best of luck.

yea i forgot to mention that people use strong fertilizers like that at 1/4 strength even when the plant is large, but it varies from grower to grower. be patient and wait a few more days before giving it anything. its better to be safe than risk killing your plant.

kevin murphy seems to like this.
Lmao, yeah. I have dried blood 12-0-0. Do you think I should add some of that now? I just started PH'ing my water and I'm at like 6.2, I'll be adding some more PH increase tomorrow. I had been at 8 from the tap water I was giving it.

i would say use it at 1/8 strength next time you water. gradually increase with each watering, and every 4 waterings or so just give it plain PH'd water. then add the 20-20-20 if you want to when the plant get larger.

I'd go with a nute that's designed for vegging with higher nitrogen, IMO the 20-20-20 isn't going to work as well and may kill the plant

Here's my thread: https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/431596-my-first-grow-9.html. I am growing Sweet Seed Fast Bud AUTO FLOWER. Do you still stick to your same statement or seeing as I have a very little veg time should I work my way into it differently?

since it is a dried nute add some into your soil next time you transplant. if you are planning on transplanting, which i think you should. i do believe you could make some sort of tea or liquid so you could add the blood meal now. when it starts flowering you will need a different kind of nute than 20-20-20. you should read this link>>>

Alright, I'll definitely read into that hard. I focused on the set up and lighting, strains, and ventilation as much as possible and didn't focus on the nutrients hard enough. Can I ask you how long you think I'll be able to stay in the pot in my pictures without problem?

well the pot you have right now is big enough, but you can take the plant out and refill the pot with improved soil. read the directions on the blood meal bag, and add about 3/4 that amount to your scotts soil, maybe even a little less. alot of people say blood meal can burn easily so be careful measuring. then just mix it up really well and refill the pot about 2/3 of the way, and drop the plant in.

OR
you can top dress the soil in your pot right now. just sprinkle a little blood meal onto the soil around the base of the stem and water it. this is easier, but people say its better to have the blood meal IN your soil. and the pot you are using will be good for another 2-3 weeks, but if i were you i'd refill it with new soil.

When you say "new soil" you mean more scotts with DRIED BLOOD 12-0-0 mixed in? Or do you mean a completely new brand (which I don't/can't get until I make profit off this grow) only spent $70. Also, couldn't I carefully dig deep down and place the dried blood as deep as I can without damaging roots or anything? (My other sense: I have another grow going on in the same box. It's a sweet seed fast bud maybe 3 days old. It's in miracle grow and it seems to have a much stronger stem and looks a lot better then my main plant did at her age.)

by new soil i mean scotts with blood meal added in. if you dont want to replant with new soil, than top dress it. the sweet seed might have a thicker stem because of it's genetics.

Both my plants are sweet seeds. Alright, so you think I should measure out about 1/8 regular dosage of the dried blood then top dress as deep as I can? Also, the main plant is looking greener and happier as EVER! I think it might be the PH'd water I just gave her.

i would wait a couple days, just make sure you dont over water. after 3-4 days do the top dressing or refill the soil. then give it a good watering.

It's on it's 3rd or fourth node I believe... It looks SO GREEN after giving it PH'd water. I'll definitely top dress it on Saturday. Question: Should I just put the nutes right on top or do I dig a few inches down and put the nutes there?
