Unless they are transplanted early and well. I transplant at the 10 day mark and see no slow down in growth. In fact the initial 10 days are quicker due to being able to water more often.

These are the plants above now aged 33 days old.

I know that it is preferable to do it in their final pot. I tried that and killed plenty doing that. I think I'm fine with a little less yield compared to getting nothing at all. I also heard though that you can transplant them and have no problem. Im only doing one transplant with the same soil. I think i will be fine.

Welp you guys were right. I gave them tons of water today, came home at 8 o'clock at night expecting all of them to be dead through overwatering and to my suprise everybody looks good!!! Even the one that was super droopy is all perked up and looks healthy. Wow!!!! I would have never guessed. I thought since I was only feeding them with a shot glass, around 200ml should be plenty, I was wrong... im not going to over water though. Im gonna check up on them everyday, but im assuming around 4-7 days and it should need more water. Im gonna guess 4, but I know now how heavy the pot feels, so that will make it easier.

You want to get your pots soaked and ready before transplanting.

Soil works best around the 25% water mark - so if it’s a 10l pot use 2.5L of water if the soil is dust dry. Most soil has some moisture so I like to water it at around the 15% volume of the pot before transplanting.

Then I water them in a little once transplanted and leave.

Here is a couple of autos 6 days after transplanting them.
