Day 22 Veg. (Opinions)

Hey Rollitup,

Here are a few pics I'm doing for a small 1 plant grow. Using 400watt Apollo HPS/MH System. The plant pictured was sprouted December 5th making today 22 days into Veg.

How does she look? could best the day 20 results I have had this year. She (hopefully) was topped after 3rd set of leaves and once again today. Probably going to start flowing around Week 8 or so. I would love to have some opinions or critique. I think I am going to have to raise the lights for some stretch. What do you think?

Is that the final pot? She seems to like the topping so I would stretch her out to different corners via LST now with a bush like that. Looks healthy though so just LITFA

Thanks Vitamin_Green_Inc, Yea that will more than likely be the final pot. I'm hoping if she stretches a bit I could top the soil off to give her more root room. Probably going to be throwing her into Veg on the 2nd of January just to kinda see what happens. I was thinking of shooting for a 4 Week Veg and maybe 12 week Flower but who knows what will happen I will look locally for some LST equipment.

Glad I saw this post. I'm on my first grow and have a plant similar in size (at least from what I can tell) to yours. I was concerned it was stunted or something but now I think its normal. I guess other factors such as strain also matter. Mine germinated 11-27 and is finally sitting in a 5 gal pot

Yea man, yours looks great! I do think certain strains have a tendency to squat rather than stretch but I also believe it has to do with light placement or rather the distance of your lights. It would probably show some nutrient problems if it was truly stunted. Sometimes over watering can cause them to stunt as well. I water my babe about once per week and it looks like I will be putting her into flowering about the second. Just a little mini grow. Next I will probably try the perpetual 12-12 cycle and see what those results look like because it sounds like a good idea in theory. how much longer you going to veg? have you topped or fimmed yet?

I found a sorta ghetto way to LST my branches. But I think I will be able to mold these branches pretty nicely to utilize the circumference of the pot. I have it planned out to start some seedlings and do a monster crop from this vs a seedling Grow Journal just to check out the differences in raising both.

I see you topped and then tied this one down, I did the same to most of mine. But I really didn't know what I was doing and got pretty aggressive on a couple plants lol. A pic below

What's that you used to tie down? Also, what's the perpetual 12/12? Is that seed straight to 12/12?

That pic looks great! Exactly what I plan to do. and Yea, the perpetual grow will be multiple plant rotations that start seed straight to 12/12. I think its pretty interesting and I keep seeing good things in the 12/12 thread.

I actually used 4 of my wire/brush cleaners for my pipes. lol. Probably wont water with them in there but they will do until I can buy something better.

plant looks really good. if thats one plant under a 400 id get a bigger, more efficient pot like mentioned. more roots more fruits.
