Day 25 Heat Stress?

I think I got my CFls too close to the plants. Some of the new leaves are curling inwards a bit, and the older ones are turning yellow and droopy...any recommendations? Advice greatly appreciated!

you should have a fan blowing on them, maybe move then less than an inch, to an inch more, but i would keep em where they are untill they grow more, there cool white (daylight) CFL's they dont get very hot...

Make sure you use an oscilating fan. Did I spell that right? lol. Will move around the air a lot better causing less heat. But those shouldn't be that bad, always test the heat by putting your hand about where the plants are so you can tell if it is too hot and pull it back farther. Those CFLs you have can pretty much be a mm away from touching them and still be fine. Just make sure they don't touch!! Good Luck, they look pretty good though.

Thanks guys for the advice. I'm looking at other plants on here and they seem to tower over my plants. Even others with CFLs seem to have significantly larger plants than I do. This is my first grow, and I know the first few weeks of their lives weren't necessarily the best. Although, I do have them fairly close, thus limiting stretching. Haha, but it seems like after almost a month i would see more. Oh well, it was bagseed of some mids and I just started nutes last week at 1/4 strength. I was thinking about making some sort of grow box with a rubbermaid and/or cardboard box. I might try this out if I can get a hold of some mylar because everyone says aluminum foil is terrible but it's gotta be better than the inside of a cardboard box.

Does anyone have any advice on using plain white computer paper (several sheets so no light goes through) as a reflective surface. My ghetto setup uses cardboard with several sheets of white paper taped to it layed across the wire above my plants. Good enough for veg or not?

Well, everyone says there's no more the CFL's could produce enough heat to damage my plants, but all of the new small leaves on both of the plants are curling inwards like a hot dog bun. What other problems could cause this other than heat stress. I got 5 26 watt 6500K and a 42 watt 3000K CFL right above two plants...

The first set of real leaves at the bottom of my plants are turning white/purplish. Its just some bagseed mids so I know it's not some crazy strain. I'm guessing all these lights in such a tight space isnt good for them. Trnsplanting to bigger pots and a larger area soon. Rubbermaid project.
