Day 41 of Purple Urkle grow... dried/brown/curled leaves

INFO:
Hydro: With Hydroton as the medium.
Strain: Purple Urkle
Pots: 5 gal
pH: 5.8-6.2
Temps: 67-80
Humidity: 45-55
Light: 1000w hps (A little over a foot away, it's not really warm to the touch at the tops at all)
EC: 1.7
Feeding: 4 times when lights are on and once when off.

So I am day 41 into flowering and for the last week or two the leaves have really started to dry out and get crispy, some are turning brown, some yellow, and a few are falling off...

I figured at first that it was overwatering/overfeeding because I had been flooding them 6 times a day for 15 minutes (+15 to drain so a little over a half hour)... and my EC was over 2.2 because I read that purple urkle needs a lot of nutes, but I flushed them and watered them with 1 EC and then after that I added some to bring it up to 1.6/1.7ish and changed the timer to only water 5 times a day. But they seem to be getting a little bit worse.

Nope... it only gets to 80 MAX. Plus I'm using CO2.

And when I put my hand on top of the bud right under the light, it doesn't feel very warm to the touch at all.

Ah I should have done that in the first place before my last change, big waste of nutes.

I think I'll give it a try though.

Another thing I forgot to mention was that I had an epic battle with spider mites for a few weeks and had to bomb 4 times with Pyrethrin TR. So I'm not sure if that could be a factor too maybe?

bro get that 1000w light at least 3 feet away ,my god this is your prob. You say it isnt warm at tips of plants, leave your hand there for 12 hours and then get back to me after youve been to burns unit. Things will improve once you do this.

Damn that sucks. I have no more room! I will bend them over tomorrow though. They just got way too massive this time.

Oh and another thing... it's ALL the leaves on the plants and the plants are over 3 ft.... it's not just the top ones... :/

if you bombed your room with the light on, the chemicals settle and could have cooked some of your leaves. Watch new growth for signs of curling, discoloration, etc and in the future ensure that you bomb at the end of a light cycle, especially if you have your plants that close to a 1g light. Also consider placing a fan to blow the air between the light and the plants- disperse some heat, but keep your lumens.

Thanks for the reply! I bombed in darkness and do have a fan blowing right under the light
