Day 45 white widows. My 2nd garden in soil. 2 1000w hps. I was thinking that by now I'd be ready to harvest. What do ya think? 2 more weeks??
Yeah I would say two more weeks, check trichs and post pics again. Your hairs are all white still and it looks like your buds have a bit to go to ripen up. With a strain like that letting flowering go a bit longer is going to improve it a ton.

First I would ask whose White Widow you are growing since they can vary a good bit in flowering time and next I would ask what color are the trichomes and after that what color do you prefer trichomes to be to get the type of high or stone you like the most?

Go to radio shack and buy a scope, it wil help you know the excate time to harvest. Or just go buy hairs and when they all (close) turn amber, not dead and shriveled, they be ready.

When I flush I fill pot with water until the water flows out the bottom freely and lots of it (3x the container) then I wait for 20 mins and let the water dissolve the salts in soil and around the roots. Then flush again with 2 tbs molases for every gallon of water. The Molases will keep feeding the plant the last 2 weeks. Continue to give 2 tbls of molases per gallon until 2 days from harvest. Then no water. Helps buds dry. But you don't want your soil to geo Bone dry.

I think I get it, but lets make sure here.
1) 1 initial flush with lots of water.
2) Do you do the 2nd flush (with molasses) right away, or do you wait until the next watering?
3) Water with molasses until harvest time...2 more weeks
4) harvest, cure and enjoy

Use plain water...using this leaches out extra nutrients salts for better tasting pot. U will notice as u flush the excess salts fan leaves will get lighter (yellow) ...
Add enough fresh water to tottally saturate the medium. Once medium is soaked ..wait 5 minutes to allow fresh water to dissolve the leftover nutes....
Once the first dose has fully dissolved those unused nutes..its time to add the second and final dose in the flushing process...Second dose should be equal to the physical volume of the container ur growing in.....For Ex. if ur growing in 1 gallon bucket ...u want to add atleast 1 gallon of fresh water for the second dose....the more the better during the second dose- within reason-.......doing the flush in this 2 step process further dissolves ALL excess nutrients salts...same idea as stepping a tea bag...the longer u let it sit in the water the more the tea will take from the bag!.....If ur flushing a soil medium consider this`~.....Organic soils are the food for the plant, so you can never really get rid of all the nutes away from ur plants root system......soo ull need to time things carefully..flush within 24 hours of harvest...u need to harvest when roots are still in fresh water ..For Ex. if we flush than wait for a few days to harvest the roots will have enuff time to begin feeding the plant again...generally 2 weeks of flushing is going to provide thorough a flush as you can expect...if ur plants leaves are all ready yellow from lack of nitrogen..theres no need to flush for 2 weeks ..but if ur plant is fulll in life nd still green flush for 2-weeks....ALWays harvest in the dark at the end of 12 hour night cycle..u do this because the plant is pulling up nutes when the lights are on...when flushing take off a branch taste the liquid coming out the end of the branch..if its bitter its not ready for harvest..but if it tastes clean almost like water than ur ready for harvest...IF U FOLLOW THESE STEPS CAREFULY UL HAVE GOOD TASTING POT ND AN EVEN BETTER HIGH>>>>HAPPY SMOKIN

you can also do what ^^^ he said...up to you..i usally dont tho
Well I understand the concept. Get the nasty stuff out by flushing, If the leaves are yellowing after the 1st week of flushing and the trichs and hairs indicate harvest time, then I can harvest nice, clean buds. No need for another week of flushing

You need to wait 3 more weeks. You have come all this way, don't blow it now. You will sacrifice potency and yield. Hairs should all be orange. You trics need to have some amber in them, not the hairs. Do not go by the hairs...

Think of it this way, you have 3 weeks till harvest and then at least 2 weeks cure time. Go buy a bag and just figure you will have smoke in 5 weeks.
