Day 46 flowering blue skunk 256W cfl with pics

Hey all,

Decided to post some pics of the girls. Been going crazy waiting for them to finish, but i'm almost there. It's supposed to be a 7 week flower strain but i'm thinking it's going to be 8 at least. I've noticed that she'll pretty much stop growing when she's ready, take less water too. I've been growing this strain for awhile but this is the first grow that i use Herb.IQ with so i actually know when i flipped the lights.


Clones for next batch. I will wash the dirt off a couple of them and stick them in DWC when i'm ready.

Couple of plants flowering down below, they are 27 and 46 days along. I was going to try and move 7-8 plants to flower every three weeks but i think i'm going to have to move it up to 4. I take 8 clones from the clones under 18/6, then move them to 12/12. Takes about 7-10 days for roots on the cuttings, plant them in dirt for 2 (changing to 3) weeks still 18/6, rinse and repeat. Taking the odd one for DWC or making extra clones if the timing is right.

Thanks Mijola..i'm impressed myself. I was actually going to stop using DWC after this round because of 2 disapointing harvests in a row. Fuck that plan now, though...sticking with DWC and adding the perpetual soil grow down below the shelf as a bonus.

I expect about 4oz dry. Thats about the best i've been able to pull off in that space so far with thoses lights.

As for Nutes...

I've been using GH FloraNova Grow + CalMag + Trace (elements it's for aquarium plants pretty weak but what the hell) for Veg with a shot of Floralicous every water change.

For flowering i'm basically out of GH FN Bloom, so been using same as above + liquid kool bloom (0,10,10)

I try and keep ppm around 800 but with having to add 1 gal a day of water to keep the level constant i'm sure that it flucuates a lot. I always end up with a bit of nute burn from letting the rez get too low. The liquid KoolBloom tends to scorch plants quite easily as well, use sparingly.

This is the first time using CalMag, last grow looked deficiant and I heard a lot of good things about it so picked some up. It's hard to say for sure as i changed a lot of other things but it seems to be helping a lot.

Some of the other changes are:

New bulbs...other ones were 2 years old less time out of rotation due to color temp.

Actually did some water changes this time...last time with no water changes hurt the yeild - BIG TIME cause it sucked....
I really hate chucking perfectly good nutes down the drain, and fully believe that weekly water changes for DWC is a total waste as far as $/benifit goes.
Not doing any water changes on the other hand...will work but you won't be happy.
This time i've done 3 changes so every couple of weeks. Once again balance prevails.

Trimmed the shit out of her before flowering and during the strech phaze. Removed all the lower branches that don't produce but grow 2 feet long. I'm pretty sure that this is the main reason the rest of the plant is looking so awsome. Biggest buds i've had yet and there is still another week or so.

Thought i'd throw an update together for y'all.

Not much to report...really. The girls are still flowering..it's now past the 7 week advertised flowing length, but that's n ot too suprising.

I made 3 new clones that i'm waiting to get roots then i'm going to harvest and move them straight into DWC, rather than wash the dirt off one that's already in soil. Should land right around week 8, which should be good.

The buds are getting even huger...now by far the best plant i've ever grown, this being my 5th grow.

Couple of other plants i have in dirt below the other ones...sort of an experiment. Going to switch to 1 bubble bucket instead, should be a lot less work.



Couple of silver kush seeds i germed the other day, they are stretched to tarnation...gonna give them a bit then replant in larger pot and bury the stem.

The not quite final weight currently stands at 163g. I've got the buds in a box to dry a little bit more before going into jars. Is jarring a word for that too?
