Day 6, First time grow. how am i doing?

I've been only using one 42 watt cfl. Organic soil with chicken manure, lime and oyster shell to help balance ph. I'm going to get one more 42 watt cfl will this be enough lighting? im only in a 1' x 1'x 2' little cabinet right now. The inside is lined with the dullside of tinfoil. Should they lean like that? i've been rotating to straighten out. is it anything to worry about?

Get rid of the foil, it contributes absolutely nothing to your grow, and can actually cause harm by deflecting heat, thereby burning your plants. They're leaning towards the light, which is an indication there is not enough, or that it is not placed properly to be evenly distibuted. The one in the third photo looks to be quite stretched, meaning your light is too far away also, move it closer to the plants. You have a tiny grow area also, you will get almost no height out of them, which translates to minimal yield in the end. I hate pointing out all the negatives you have so far, but you did ask for advice. More lights, closer to the plants, and a bit bigger area and you should be ok for a while. Try white paint, or a camp blanket for reflectivity, anything is better than tin foil.

Thanks for the advice it's actually what i was hoping for, so i got rid of the tin foil but haven't painted the inside white yet. i only plan on being in the box for a few weeks until i transplant to a bigger container and move into a bigger area. but i added 2 more cpfs so now i have one 42 watt and two 23 watt. and i moved them closer to my babies.

also im on a 20/4 right now, should i be 24/0 or 18/6 i've read every where, and everyone says somthing different. I just wanna know what one will work the best.

If you put your plants on 18 /6 , Thats the cycle i use , When they on this cycle the roots grow 50% faster than if they were on 24/0 search the web for light cycle / root growth

Thanks for the advice!! I switched to a 18/6 now. took some new pics... one of the sprouts has a purple stem... is this natural? or a phos. deficiency... but other wise they seem to be doing good.. and are enjoying the more light.. i plan on buying a few 'y' socket adapters and doubling my light...
