Daytime indica?

Indicas are known for their ability to make you sleepy/drowsy, so they are typically not the best daytime smoke. But is that true of all indicas and indica dom strains? Right now I have a 70% indica strain (Sweet Seeds Green Poison) and a heavily sativa strain (Female Seeds Neville's Haze) curing in jars. Both are great but I can't light up the GP during the day because I will want to take a nap about 1.5-2 hours into the high. I build up a quick tolerance to the haze though and must put at least a day between smoking it to have the same intensity. The same is not true of the Green Poison. So I like the strength and longevity of the GP much more than I do the haze and I think this was always the case with me and indicas back when I used to light up quite often (20+ years ago).

So what about it, any indicas or indica heavy strains that won't make me want to take a siesta?

whiteberry from paradise seeds is perfect for daytime when smoked lightly, meaning one-three hits of off bong, but when smoked in a joint it will leave you stuck on the couch for a while..

I have some Female Seeds C99 to pop someday. I did germinate one but it never got more than a couple days as a seedling before it died.

I have never understood this and it is not universal.

If I smoke a sativa/sativa dominant variety in the morning, I am most likely going to need a nap later that afternoon.
Not all sativas do that.

Super Lemon Haze is sleepy hungry weed for me.
Sour Diesel is 3:00 nap time weed for me.

Oddly enough, Blue Dream does not make me tired. C-99 does not make me tired. There are a few others.

I prefer indicas, always have.

Most full indicas or mostly indica blends do not make me tired.
hash plant, afghani, blueberry, Granddaddy Purple... I can smoke at 11:00 a.m. and be fine at 3:00.

I have a few friends that are the same way, one refuse to smoke any sativa as it puts him to sleep.

Try taking down your plants a week earlier for a more soaring "Heady" high.

if you don't vape, i'll mention it as a possibility, more heady, less body, and less body 'heavy' at the end

Bong or pipe...so this was in response to Northern Lights and Blueberry?
just in general, i've been vaping a number of indica dominants, mostly because they're what grows well in my small setup
you don't get that burnt out feeling from a vape that makes sleepy time, been my experience anyways

A lot depends on how long the herb is left on the plant, with trich degredation and all, is best to harvest when there is a suitable amount of amber trich heads related to your desired stoniness. As far as upbeat indicas go, I have always found certain phenos in the berry and gum varieties to be uplifting and generally not sleep inducing; but pretty much any solid hashy indica of good quality seems to have a sedative effect for me and my patients.

I forgot about Bubblegum. That stuff will not make me sleepy and it is very positive and up, for me.

The best way to not get that sleepy feeling from any plant Is to wash the joint down with a red bull. That works for me.

Maple Leaf Indica is my #1 daytime Indy. I got it as a clone but you can get it in seed form from Sensi. Or, you could get Cream Caramel from Sweet seeds, it has the same high type, and is MLI dominant.

I like vaping too, but you can get the full on indica effect. You have to operate at higher temperatures though. There is a chart somewhere on this site, I think Brick Top posted it, has all the decarboxylation points of the various cannabinoids. CBD and CBN are noticeably higher than THC (which is fairly low).

Kind of neat.

I've heard some good things about Cream Caramel, and I really like my Green Poison, so I'll put this on my list for the future.
