So after a brief hiatus from growing, my affinity for weed and the extortionate prices being charged for it, have forced me to get it on again, although on a smaller scale than previously.

Those of you who are familiar with me will already know that I like experimenting and making my own shit. I've been growing organically for around 3-4 years and consider myself far from experienced and despite reading what feels like every bit of information available on organics, still find myself flummoxed with it all sometimes.

Here's what I've got growing currently:

One Mr Nice seeds 'Shit' plant under my DIY COB fixture, which has 10 x citi CLU048 V6 1212's 3500k 90cri, driven by 2 hlg-185h-c1050a's and with 12v arctic8 & 14 case fans on each heatsink for active cooling. It can pull 430w at max but that's way to bright for my little 80x80 cm tents. I've currently got it running at 310w


This is my very fussy Bodhi 'Space Monkey', I honestly think this (stress/deficiency symptoms) was caused directly by the change from my 400w hps to 300w of really efficiently driven cobs(700mA), my soil just couldn't keep up with the growth explosion and I've been feeding her tea's ever since as well as backing the light off. The light in this tent was actually originally built by @Colanoscopy and traded in a deal I believe both parties were happy with. It's build was covered here https://www.rollitup.org/t/colas-big-citi-lights.943861/ I've since cut it down to fit my tent, added 4 of the latest version vero18's to fill the drivers voltage capacity and fitted it with a 24v driver I had lying around at the time, which is way overpowering the 3 fans on the heatsinks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the fans hold out till the end of this run and I'll change the driver out for a cheap 12v one I got off ebay.

Cheers brotha, I gotta keep plant counts low and maximise my available space, it's really hard not to tinker and try to drive the plants hard under these circumstances.

First of all. I was 100% happy with the trade. My intentions were to see a fellow grower put to use what I (at the time) thought I couldn't.it turned out to be a nice Co operative diy project anyway and I get to see it grow nice weed. Im a happy man.
That ballast and metal halide are still cracking on nicely btw. Only running it at 300w and my temps are regularly creeping up to 29c. I may have to switch out for a dual spec hps in the hope it runs a bit cooler.

You'll have to give me a shout when you crop and cure these and I'll let you know about cuts Thankyou bro.

Found some of my last runs bud hanging still on the plant. (the widow x big bud you tried) and I shit you not after a long cure it ain't that bad at all.

Can't beat unexpectedly finding old bud that is well cured, definitely one of life little treats. I've had a couple of small finds over the last several months, but I also found over an ounce in my freezer which had been put there in prep for making qwiso and totally forgotten about, lmfao

I've got plans for new 'beds' in the tents and was thinking of making diy 'Spikes' in them, because they're not available to buy here. I am gonna read TLO, but not got round to it yet, hope you don't mind me picking your brain once in a while for your actual experiences with them, when I've read it and when I'm actually trying to put it into practice.

As hinted at in the above post I wanted to build a sort of mini raised bed within a 800x800cm tent (roughly2.5x2.5ft) with materials I already had on hand and this is what I've come up with....................an 'air bed' or 4 air pots glued and screwed to a piece of 650x650cm plywood



I realise from experience that this is gonna be a total PITA to water, so I was thinking of sitting them in trays with strips of capillary mats running from bottom to top to either soak up run off from top watering or act like some kind of sip............any opinions would be more than welcome as it is still very much WIP

I've been smoking pineapple chunks today. Not rating it particularly well on the flavour/pleasantness of smoke but it gets you high

Hahaha, I've got enough of them, cheers............and totally forgotten you've already got some, LOL. I've actually had some feedback of them being pretty good, very recently. Can't divulge too much, but here's a direct quote "However, someone up here just finished some SSDD f2 and it took outdoor shock well, was super frosty, tasty, and easy to train and mainline / top".............Hmmmmnnnnn, could be some nice pheno's hiding within them F2's.

Sorry DB for the short responses last night. But I was slightly preoccupied with city shafting shaktar haha. We will just not be friends derby day haha.

Edit: just been upto my room. Jack herer cuts are rooted so there is one here whenever you're ready. It's in a jiffy in coco for the minute but I'll keep it in a small pot for you so it's less drama when you transplant so soil for organics. I'll even keep the ph up around 6.2 in coco so there is less stress when you transplant to soil

Hey Cola, no worries Bro, we had our best performance away from home since Sir AF retired, but I still fell asleep at half time, FFS!!!

I hope you don't mind, but I haven't got room to flower that JH out ATM(my next planned run will be revealed in the next post), so my plan is to pass it on to my mate who is desperate to get hold of decent JH pheno, the one I told you about who killed 2 packs of sensi's version, lol, he's been growing for over 20 years as well, but only ever worked with cuttings. He's also taking my only cuts of the Space monkey and Shit as well, with the intention of vegging em' out a bit and making them into mother plants. So I do trust him to keep the genetics going, if they're actually worth it and I'll be able to get em' back soon enough. He grows in coco, so no special treatment required and I've got a bottle of Ionic on hand and all my old tools for testing ph and ec to be able to keep her alive till he can take her.
