My usual choice as I know they never fail.

Communication: 8/10 They'll definitely reply. Might be me as I take "replies via texts" wrong but every email reads as if they aren't in the mood to talk.

Shipment: 10/10 Three days. No more or no less. Superb service.

Price: Higher than others, $5-10 difference compared to others.

Conclusion: Great place to order from if you want beans within 3 days. Only downside is they're a bit pricey for some of the "known" strains.

DCSE just got fresh Mephisto 7 packs in, restocked on a number of breeders and got my order out an hour after I paid, as in tracking number in hand. He might not carry every breeder but damn I can't find anyone that takes care of people like Paul at DC Seed Exchange does. Never been dissapointed in any of my orders.

just to note, I got an email today notifying me of PayPal changes.

We are updating the PayPal Account User Agreement and the Electronic Communications Delivery Policy. These changes will go into effect on March 29, 2019 and apply to U.S. PayPal customers. If you agree to these changes, you don’t have to do anything. If you don’t agree with these changes, you may close your account. If you close your account before March 29, 2019, the changes will not apply to you.

Amendments to the PayPal User Agreement for Personal PayPal Accounts

  • As a result of a new regulation issued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C. coming into effect on April 1, 2019, we are making some changes that will affect consumers who want to hold and use balance with PayPal.

If you want to hold and use balance, you will need a balance account which will be linked to your current PayPal account. PayPal will offer two balance accounts: PayPal Cash and PayPal Cash Plus. Information about both types of balance accounts can be found in the PayPal Cash and PayPal Cash Plus Terms and Conditions.

If you are an existing personal PayPal account holder and we have already verified your identity, we will establish and automatically link a PayPal Cash Plus account to your current PayPal account. Information about your PayPal Cash Plus account, including your balance amount, will be easily available using your existing PayPal login.

For all other consumer PayPal account holders, if you want to hold and use balance, in addition to verifying your identity with PayPal, you will need set up a balance account which will be linked to your current PayPal account.
There are no changes to any PayPal fees.
  • We are also making two other changes: (1) we are changing the time period for providing you with advance notice about important changes to the PayPal Account User Agreement to at least 21 days; and (2) we are clarifying how and when we convert currency.

Amendments to the PayPal User Agreement for Business Accounts

  • We are changing the time period for providing you with notice about important changes to the PayPal Account User Agreements to at least 5 days.
  • We are clarifying how and when we convert currency.

Amendments to the Electronic Communications Delivery Policy

We are updating our Electronic Communications Delivery Policy to clarify that your consent to receive electronic disclosures under our Electronic Communications Delivery Policy applies to all PayPal branded accounts

Basically looks to me like you basically have to have a deposit down on those new cash or cash plus accounts. Im assuming for all the tricks folks pulling on Paypal. I just closed mine, I kept a prepaid to use, but I don't keep money on it till I need it. Im taking it that you can't do that anymore, its got to be linked to an account with real money in it. but my interpretatioin could be wrong.

What is the potential problem?

before, you could keep a card in your wallet with 0 balance and then add funds as needed, as in a prepaid, etc. Now, you have to link it to a new Paypal Cash account, which also must have funds in it. You have to read the print to understand.

Was about to pull the trigger on an impulse order, and found that PayPal is no longer available as a payment option....
This saddens me immensly. Not surprising to me however, as that option was a shock to me from the moment I was made aware of DCSE.
That feature will be missed indeed.
Could this be temporary?

I sure hope this is temporary. My order went out from them only 5 days ago & has already arrived. I used PP but I do have PP Cash (that was converted over with the change).

I got their newsletter today. It confirmed that their "CC processor" is down & they are going to find a "new" one. They are now accepting bitcoin, potcoin and still doing good old cash or money order.

Just a couple quick comments.

Paul is a stand up guy, in fact one of the best out there.

Most banks appreciate cash orders and make it worth your while.
Cash for beans has been the norm for over half a century until recently.

I understand some people are like cash in an envelope omg but it aint a big deal with a reputable guy..

Anyway just throwin it out there. Paul, top notch service. Love dcse.

Looks like is trying to get this set up:
https://www.zodaka.com/what-is-zodaka

IMO reading the web page. It sounds good.

Food for thought on cash in mail. I am in a hurry to replace some failed sprouts on CBD Hemp.
I am currently a homebound cancer patient. Can't go to bank get cash, go get envelopes, stamps Drive to post office. Heck, 2 hours fooling around to send cash I. The mail. Almost enough to offset the exorbitant crypto fees.

IMO we the people gotta make noise, the big US banks need to legitimize legal cannabis related transactions.

BS double standard, Wall Street drooling to make money, yet the same Wall street banks making it tough for the small guy like DCSE.

Anyway look forward to trying Zodaka

Paul does a lot of work to help disadvantaged and other people in need or in tough circumstances; the rare type of guy well worth going the extra mile to support. If you can't, at least you did, so good for you, amigo.

I hear that a relaunch of DCSE's website is very close along with improved pay options.

As long as cannabis remains illegal at a federal level, the big banks are going to stay far away from it. They want profit, but they sure aren’t going to risk it all being seized by the gubment.
