been looking at adding a 1000 wt de hps light to my grow room for added yield hopefully...
any thoughts on the brand to go with? I was under the impression gavita was the trade standard.. but just watched a video by Growace that kinda made it seem as if yield lab was a much better choice... although the nanolux looks enticing due to its build style allowing u to mount closer to ceiling.. but doesn't seem like it can be used on a standard 110 volt receptacle... only 240v available and that is a problem for me.. any input or personal experinces would be greatly appreciated..

Im not sure theres a difference. I use the nanolux, huge yields. 9 foot ceilings. So far only used at 1000 watts, not the 1200 watt setting. I also used the philips bulb. Theres a member on here who uses the phantoms DE, also huge yields and he takes the ballast off the fixture, being those fixtures allows one to do so.

so gavita is an overpriced name? seems that way to me... never heard anything about yield labs? yea I was gonna spring for the phillips bulb.. does your nanolux allow you to plug into a north American 110 volt circuit?

I like the nanolux fixture but I went with gavita because the bulb it comes with is great so you don't need to replace it and I prefer the hardwired interface for the el2 controller instead of wireless. I find that resale is fast and they don't lose as much value when compared to other fixtures either.

My 1000e gavitas only plug into 240 v, however they are amazing.
