De-oxidizers in your stash jars?

I was wondering. In some packaging of (dried) food, there are those little bags called de-oxidizers. I am not sure but i believe it is harmless stuff like silicones.
Does it make sense to put some of those in the bigger stash jars (the ones you want to keep for a while)?

I don't know about jars, but silicon works great in jugs. Bag appeal.

Doesnt it dry out the nuggs too much? Apperently not..
