Dead seeds from Attitude

So we ordered a pack of 120$ Sensi Seeds Mother's Finest seeds to replace our fallen mother and all were dead. All of the freebie seeds popped in 36hrs but the Sensi Seed pack was completely lifeless. I understand that this is an uncommon strain, but just because people aren't buying doesn't mean they should hold onto old dead seeds. We informed them of the DOA seeds and the Attitude people simply replied, "Many Thanks." Great customer service if what you're looking for is a thank you that costs 120$. We've been starting seeds for over a decade and this is the first time we've had a problem with Sensi Seeds. We'll probably end up trying Gypsy next time. We'll give a report when we do.

Mine was the complete opposite. The one's I bought all germinated. The freebies were a waste of time.

Thanks for all the kind words. It's easy to expect flaming in forums, especially when giving a bad review. My fiance and I have always loved our two major phenos of MF and were heartbroken when we lost our last mom. She was with us for almost four years and is sorely missed. This was our second pack of MF since the loss and they were purchased from two different online retailers. The first travelled completely across the US while we were moving. Because of the chance of heat extremes during the trip, we're not blaming the first retailer for that pack not germinating. We chose to try Attitude next just in case. I just wish the packs had a born-on date. The latest one was stamped with "14C." We emailed Sensi asking if this or any other info on the pack dictates the packaging date.

I'm worried that because this is an uncommon strain, there may not be many fresh packs in circulation. This strain is our baby and we'll find it eventually. Hopefully sooner than later.

Update: The very last of ten MF seeds popped today after more than 5 days germinating in pure water. We usually use a 1/4 strength Maxicrop solution for seeds but after the first few failures, we started trying plain water and other things. All previous seeds were given more than a week in optimum conditions. Four other MF seeds tried in 2 different sources of plain water failed. This little trooper has a little dried tip to his root and we are very concerned about her. It's just the tiniest little beginning of a root but she's alive! We have fresh, temperature controlled air blowing very lightly in the baby's direction and are keeping a close eye on the moisture of the paper towel. If she survives, we'll move to a new thread.

Did you toss the non germable seeds?Chances are you did.I have had seeds that dont germ, when that happens I let them dry out then I physically just crack the seed open and put them back between paper towels and whalla!I did those with some sensi ed rosenthal strain.
Hope that helps

Paper towel method has proved 100% for me this week. 2 for 2. Now one of those two died in the seedling stage from underdeveloped cotyledons, but it did pop and root.

i went to amsterdam two years ago, and a friend of mine had asked me to bring him back some fruity jiuce from sensi seeds.. i found a nice bank in the redlight district and got my boy his beans.. he also had problems with them.. only two of ten popped, and both were dudes.. not the best ratio if you ask me.. this has been my only experience with sensi seeds, and it wasn't a pleasant one..

We bought MF seed packs twice in the past and had a 100% germination rate with 25% males among 16 seeds taken to flowering. This time, we started the first four together at once and let them germinate 8 days before I noticed a little green mold on two of them. I believe they ended up sitting on the counter for another day or two before they were tossed, still uncracked.

I understand how seeds will reach a root out for moisture as the paper towel slowly dries. After a couple days of light airflow, our paper towels almost reach dryness but not completely. Usually at this point the seeds are in overdrive, shooting a root out to get the last of the moisture. The freebies didn't even last that long before they were too big to stay in the paper towel. When the first four MF seeds hadn't opened by the time it was almost dry, a little dab of their original soaking liquid was added. It almost dried again in a few more days and the paper towel was wet again. After this time mold started forming and the seeds were eventually discarded.

The other five seeds were then tried, pretty much one by one, using various different germination techniques. The first of those, started maybe three weeks ago, was tossed. We still have five left- four unopened and our one wonder child that we hope stays healthy.

Our one baby now has enough root sticking out to be planted. Still no movement from the other four. She'll be going into the dirt in an hour. Planted freebies are sloughing their shells. If it's a female, there will be about three months of growing, cloning and vegging. Phenos are about 50days, 90days and 110+days so budshots in half a year. Thanks alot for the replies.

I've heard of them taking action if they get a number of complaints so go ahead. Don't expect too much.
already emailed them...doubt it that ill get anything, ill just try to get lucky next time i guess. very upset right now i cant even enjoy this forum seeing many people having there grows, i am not totally blaming attitude or tga, but cant take out of me to have mix feelign regarding this issue. i even got a crappy looking white widow (seedsman seed) from thesingleseedcenter that i am saving since may that just germinated along with my failed querkle.
