I used to stink up the entire house with two plants. That was about 2400 sq ft including all rooms and the basement. You could smell it when you opened the front storm door.

Carbon filter INSIDE the tent, sucking air through it, not pushing air through it. I'd get an Ona or two for outside the tent, and only use it when you go in and out of the tent.

Yea even the smallest number of plants can and will stink an entire house up if not filtered by some way...

If you can duct through another duct like for a dryer, that's best. Otherwise out a window I guess.

Man, just saying, I'd NEVER have the balls to grow in an apartment.

If I were you should I pull the plug Cause I Been Feeling The Same Way Is there any way for anyone to know I’m not growing inside my home

If you live in an apartment and can access your bathrooms fart fan. You can hook up to that and vent out the top of your apartment and then it’s harder to pinpoint your actual unit and it will also be about 50ft in the air depending on how many stories.

Loose lips, and smell, are the biggest concerns. If your neighbors smell it and report it, and the cops come, you're toast.

That said, the carbon filter will work perfectly so long as its used correctly and the grow room stays closed as much as possible. That means on harvest day, you're spending most of your time inside your closed tent with the fan and filter going. Most filters are designed to have air sucked through them, not pushed. There is a difference. If you've ever replaced a house air filter, you know there's a correct way to do it. The arrow usually points the way.

I am curious. Why suck and not blow, if you’ll forgive the metaphor.

With suck mode, any imperfections or leaks between filter and fan will vent air that never went through the filter into the room.

On blow mode, those leaks stay in the tent, and only fully filtered air will be exhausted.

Please tell me if I’m missing something big or obvious.

Could be fans pull better than push?
It can be setup both ways.

Keep in mind your venting humidity that smells. You scrub the smell but that mould causing humidity has to get outside. Vent outside.
Plan, use existing ducts, cut holes, make it happen. Don't risk mould.

Fans do pull better than they push.

But while I don’t know if what I said earlier is proven, a push fan does seem better set up for the odor control mission.

I have filter and fan in tent, so pulling out. Mostly because of lack of space around the tent.
It can be done the way your thinking.
Leaks in both systems are the main issue. I did discover that at one point.

How long "loud fresh dank" was being pumped outside I'm not sure.
Heart stopping moment that was.

We humans have the capacity to accommodate, which amounts to not noticing pervasive odors. The relevant drug dogs don’t seem to have that response.
