Got this from a local dispensary. Supposedly a clone only strain which is a cross between Sensi Star and Sour Diesel.
The look of these nugs is fantastic. Lots of dark red and amber with accent of green and purple throughout. Fully caked in crystals. Eyepiece not necessary.
Lab report on it says 24.9% THC. Yes, I understand that that number may be misleading but only comparing it to strains using the same system. On paper the Deathstar was 25% more potent than Sour Diesel (20% vs. 24.9%) from the same place.
The taste was identical to the sour diesel. At first I thought there was a mix up and I got sour d. This soon proved to be untrue as I noticed that the ground herb was purple and white, like a light bed of snow on some lavender. The effects were nothing sour d like either.
I have to say this thing hits like a ton of bricks. The high was intense but had to creep. After about 30 minutes, I was so sleepy I simply could not hold my eyes open. I usually smoke about half a gram at a session. When I did my typical session, I went way past my tolerance with this. Having experience with this happening here and there, I was able to ride out the uncertainty and a wonderful, relaxed, narcotic bliss took effect. Ultra couch lock soon followed.
I also at the time happen to have a broken jaw
And yes, this actually took almost all of the pain away.
Have to say I love this strain, but it's not the kind of smoke I'd take for recreational purposes (although the high is fantastic, just leaves me non-functional).
