I just want some feed back on this first time closest grow im doing. The space in 5.5x2.2x8.

Setup-
Flat white walls
HIGROW 1000W led (400 true watts)
4 inch carbon filter
3 gallon pots
FoxFarm Happy Frog Soil

Im attempting to LST five different auto strains, just to have a selection out of this first grow. I want to stay organic. Everything is already ordered and now im just waiting. I also have 3 180w CFL setups I could add if anyone thinks id need it? My goal is 2-3 oz per plant.

Return the light would be my biggest suggestion and get something better.

I was kind of at my max budget, through research I have seen some decent things come off this light. Is there something else in the price range you'd recommend?
For three plants I would have gone with hlgs 260watt qb light.

Would adding the 540w of CFL I have help me through this grow? On my next I will have more money to spend on lighting.
Yeah, the CFLs will definitely help, and I kind of prefer just them for seedlings.

5 autos might get a little crowded in there and those LEDs don't have the best coverage or penetration. Kind of depends on the strains though, do you have them picked out yet?

@Lordhooha is definitely correct that a qb or COB setup would have been better, even at lower wattage. That being said, your light should be fine to get you started, just think about upgrading when/if you have the budget for it. I grew with blurples for a while, it was fine, just not great.

I should have about $500-700 to spend on lights for my next grow. I have already ordered my seeds. Like I stated before all autos.

And your point being? I simply suggested what I’d go with.
Yeah but he stated why he bought what he did with the research he did with the little budget he had..

Why not suggest a light that is in the same price rage as he bought? Obviously the one you suggest is going to do better and is more expensive.. suggest a light that will do better at the price rage of his light so if he decides to return it and go with your suggestions, he can afford to do so,

That's the reason your suggestion isn't valid at this time. Maybe for his next Grow.

For future reference. I hate seeing folks get a bad taste for any sort of gear so I give one of the much better quality to have for future ref.
