Deep water culture

I am interested in doing a small DWC experiment with about 2 plants. I was planning on making something like the DIY 3 Gallon DWC that's posted on RIU but with an extra airdrome or a more powerful one. I just don't know how often the water/nutrients should be changed? Or what type of water should be used and if it should've at a certain temperature. Should the roots be soaking in some type of water that has an airdrome in it while your changing water/nutrients? Any help or tips would be much appreciated

In Dwc I use distilled bottled h2o. I use Botanicare cns17
and the ph usually stays where I need it.
I don't change the h2o like a lot of people though.
i just top off with fresh mix, and check ppm's and ph.
Keep those buckets cool, or you'll get slime.
and lots of bubbles. Good luck.

That is DWC and not RDWC. It does cover the basics.

When you step to a recirculating system things get interesting.

Two other sets of lines, one to drive nute water and the other
to collect waste.

Very cool stuff. I am considering this for a future step.

Good luck,
