Man i thought for sure you guy's would be showing off some nice buck's i was looking to see what RIU had in the way of bowhunter's. Alot of people think im not a hunter because i hunt for horn's but where i live we are allowed to kill one buck per season and i love to hunt so i like to put out trail camera's pick out a certain buck and try to pattern his every move it's like a chess game. Why if i shot the first buck i seen my season would be over and enjoy the woods to much for that to happen. Besides a big whitetail still makes my hands shake my knee's get weak when i lose this feeling i will quit hunting. I like to harvest mature deer every year or i won't shoot one plain and simple.

That's pretty much how i look at it to.Probably need to kill some does on my hunting farm,but can't bring myself to shoot one anymore..If it's not at least P&Y i won't even think about it..Guess that's why i've went without tagging a buck alot of years..I also just like spending as much time in my stands as possible...

Agreed i have went without filling my tag before but still had a great season. Anyone can kill a deer but it takes skills to tag a mature whitetail and you get the satisfaction of taking him into the checking station...lol. Bragging right's the old mines bigger than yours.....lol

My brother has his out already and has got some starting new antler growth

man the seasons fly by seems like yesterday my dad took me hunting for the first time i can still remember carrying that old 20gauge Ithaca
the same one he killed his deer with when he started hunting. Now it sets the gun safe waiting for my son to become of age. Which will probably be on me before i know it.
Enjoy life guy's and be happy with what you got.

we went ahead and slapped a tag on it that we had in the freezer you never know. I lost a 187 inch 14 point that i found one time because to many people seen it and game warden heard about it and when he came looking for it he took it even though i found it dead i can't have it, that's BS.

I doubt it being as he's not exactly legal the tag is just for looks if the number's were ever ran it's for a eight point my sister killed...lol he's big though he's got 19 point's looked fairly young also had all of his teeth no wear at all i'm guessing a 3 and half year old been dead awhile hardly stank at all cutting horn's off. He was all buried up in the briar's not fifty yards off of the road. Maybe a car hit him this winter i dunno. Haven't scored him yet when i do i'll post result's. It sure as hell made my day though...lol

@ April yea i wear flannel's..lol not the Paul Bunyan style though the blue jean wrangler's, kinda of a welder trademark around here..lol
