Deer!!!

After years of savaging by critters, I use 4 ft fencing.

Human/dog hair work amazzing just get a hair cut put the hair in a bag and puncher holes in it. hang it next to yhr plant garintie nothing will come near it.

I just use a 22 to slow them down then I run over them with my truck. lol

Yep, have to flavor my tofu with venison.

Sure a .22 will do the job with a well placed shot but only a fool would try it. I love killing deer but can't imagine trying to do it with a .22 unless you can shoot MOA. I used to piss into Gatorade bottles but I'm sorry to say you can piss right out of your tree without spooking them at all. I was happy to discover that as it saves me carrying bottles of urine around.

I have found that cheap bird netting is your best bet. It generally comes in 14X14 foot pieces. I cut it in half and end up with a nice little area to grow a few plants in. It's a PIA to work with cause it's very fine mesh hangs up on everything. It can act a bit like a gill net for some critters but the deer seem to see it. I can't see it unless I'm right up close so it's pretty discreet. I have been lucky so far but I do expect them to run right thru it at some point.

I piss around my outdoor grow site and it works wonders. Use neem oil for the rest of your problems.

Piss has never worked for me. I use the pepper spray method on all my plants for all pests.

Anything you can hang from trees or sticks that make noise when the wind blows, like stuff you put on christmas trees. Also any motion sensitive toy, halloween gag gift that screams when they detect motion will keep them away. Or the good old fashion straw man but leave him loose so when the wind blows he moves around a little and they will be gone.

go to your local barber shop and ask for a bag of hair no more problems and an old sweaty t shirt works wonders

and a 22 has killed more deer then any high powered rifle out there just ask any poacher

For a deer I would use .30-06, .556, 7.62, or something around those sizes.

I don't beleive there is any state that allows deer hunting with a .22 and but kystoner is right about it being a poachers round. I am pretty certain "most" states dont't allow the use of the .223/5.56 round either. Ok for Yotes and fast as hell but the bullet is much too light for deer. It just doesn't have the energy.

I can't agree with kystoner and the 100 yard max with the 12G. I can shoot five inch groups (off a bench) all day @ 200 yards with my Rem 870sp. with cantilever heavy barrel with a 2x7 Leopold VX3 shotgun scope. I'm sure that's not the gun stoner was talking about but with copper solids I can bust up engine blocks not that I get to do that very much..

Deer just don't give a hill of beans about piss. I have been 20 feet above them and watched how they react. Might work once but smell alone is just not how it works. Deer walk the same woods with yotes all the time and they don't care about them either. Damm deer can put a time and date stamp on your wizz and access the threat from there .

your right i was talking about your every day 12g. as for piss it dont work but the hair and sweaty tshirt works i have watch them on my trail cam pop up that head and walk circles around mine you will have to change out the tshirt every now and again

i got bored reading so i skipped a couple pages but how bout putting a feeder out for the crows

I've got deer that come in and just knock down my fence around the gardens and just eat the shit out of everthing. I've had a few good results with the following:

Take bars of Ivory soap and shave it up around your garden and in your paths.

Toilet bowl hangers... The blue things you put in to keep the toilet clean, I just hand those on the fence and they haven't come in since.

My favorite weapon against deer this year is a whip trap I set up.

They have a path they walk into my backyard, I set up a tripline similair to how you would set up a snare trap. I attached a piece of bamboo about waist high to a tree and cranked it all the way back and set it on my trip line, anytime they trip that wire SMACK!!! and they take off. I had a buddies camera set up to watch the actaion ROFL it was hillarious from what we could make out on the shitty quality camera, A couple times wacked with that in the middle of the night will make you not wanna come back!

but since doing these things I haven't had a single deer come back.
