Hey thanks FM. I have no idea if it's strain related or not so I'm hoping their ok. Cal/mag should be in check by the pre-mixed dolomite lime. Possibly could be from a P deficiency. I'll give the plants some 10-30-20 jacks bloom booster during the next watering just in case. Very nerve wracking being at this stage of flower for the first time. Just hoping everything finishes up ok. Take it easy and thanks for the heads up.Looking real good man! Nice canopy too! Just keep an eagle eye on those purpling stems....if its not strain related it can be a problem.
Thanks for the kind words but honestly there has been plenty of yellowing and a little leaf loss over the past couple of weeks. I was going easy on the nutes for my first grow just to be careful but now I think I have a good idea of how much nutes to use throughout flower the next go around.Stunning pictures. Actually - they look fake - like silk plants - seeing that there isn't a curled leaf, yellowing, brown spots, etc... Perfection - nice going!
I agree on the genetics and soil. Giving some sannies and e$kob@r genetics a go on my next run in some subcool supersoil that I've had cooking up in the backyard for over a month now. Extrema (chem d x herijuana) on deck first. And some chocolate rain ( DNA chocolope x dj shorts cocoa kush) soon after. Can't wait! Only about an OZ a plant. Temperature only hit over 80 degrees a handful of times all summer. All thanks to the lights no doubt. Average temp/humidity throughout the grow was 75F/60%. Not bad for being in a garage. Thanks for stopping by...Can't wait to get my 51s, with better genetics, and real organic soil...you'll get there. Curious, what's your ambient temp? Can't wait to see yield. Great job for a newbie! me sub
great grow!! in my opinion, ur plants were looking great and you should not have harvested early. I have had plants going for a month or more without any fan leaves. It only makes the smoke smoother, i wouldnt say u lost that much on yield and probably got better quality. Anyway, I usually try to use less food than too much and my plants usually fade early ... to me its not a mistake, but just the opposite, especially if you grow for personal consumption. well doneFinally an overdue update,
Sorry for the lack of updates. Plants yellowed way to early into flower for most of the plants. The inexperience caught up to me there unfortunately... I think this effected the yield. All but 1 plant has been cut down. 3 were taken down this past Saturday on day 64. They were super ripe! The other two were pulled 2 weeks earlier due to lack of surviving leaf matter... A little early harvest on those and the taste and quality of the buds verify it. The samples I have smoked off the 3 recently pulled plants have been no comparison. Lovely smell and taste already. Also very frosty so I'm happy with these. Yield has averaged to be only about an OZ a plant... Some a little under some a little over. Disappointing yield IMO but I guess that's what happens when plants go deficient at week 5 of flower...
So here are some pictures. These were taken about 2 weeks prior to harvest. These are both the pure ak's. My favorite plants of the batch. One has an undeniable cherry smell on it while the other more of a grape smell. Some lovely plants.
And the final four together...
Up-to-date dry bud shots on the way...soon. Till then..
Laters,
Dee

Thanks again on the protekt/neem tip. I will be dipping some clones very soon. Too bad I lost so many of those beautiful leaves I had going into flower. Learned a lot this grow though. That update was over due but damn its worth the wait! Excellent job, those are beautiful buds!!
Peace

Haha, thanks?Holy Crap!
Yeah I regret pulling the two early now. I was excited for my first harvest though and was looking for an excuse to cut something down. My goal was to not over nute the plants and I definitely accomplished that haha. Its ok to make mistakes, thats how you learn, your grows will continue to get better as each grow finishes. You done a stellar job with this grow and I am very impressed with what LEDs can do!Thanks again on the protekt/neem tip. I will be dipping some clones very soon. i disagree, for the most part, defoliation is a terrible idea. FMLI, you should do more research!! think photosynthesis!!Its ok to make mistakes, thats how you learn, your grows will continue to get better as each grow finishes. You ever hear of defoliation? There are growers who pull all fan leaves after the 3rd and 4th week of flowering or once the flowering stretch is over. Do some research on it and you will be surprised on the results. I have tried it before with side by side tests. Always good doing research on different things.
Peace

I have done a side by side comparison with clones and I have done my research! Do I defoliate now, no but I did do my research and test of it. When it was all said and done, my defoliated plant had more resin production then the one I didnt defoliate, although the one I didnt did yield better. I am by no means promoting it but I think before anyone should say anything they should test it out themselves. Its about personal preference when it comes to growing, people should try different stuff and see what works best for them. There are defoliator growers out there that will swear by it, check out Bubbleponics grow forum, they have a club just for Defoliators. There is NO rule book when it comes to growing, but hey thats just my opinion and I do respect your opinion of disagreeing.i disagree, for the most part, defoliation is a terrible idea. I am open to any and all ways of growing. A lot of grows ahead of me. Defoliation being practiced by growers just reaffirms to me that I should not have harvested the plants with very little remaining fan leafs early. They would have been fine I'm sure. I think this is what FM was getting at when mentioning defoliation.I have done a side by side comparison with clones and I have done my research!
