Deficiency or nute burn? Cinderella Purple

Cinderella Purple
Day 53 from flip
Coco
500ppm
5.7-6.2ph
640w LED

This thing is yellowing like crazy, but some leaves also look burnt on the serrations and tips. I saw someone say they harvest this at 61 days from flip, so is this maybe just the plants fading out?

You should be at least near 1000 ppm for flower.

They are starved for ( K ) potassium…. Leaf issues mimic burn but is a deficiency.

Once you correct leaves may not recover - you are trying to stop it. Plant pulled what it could from its own leaves - hence the look.

What happens if you run the current feed (EC 1.0) through and check the runoff EC? If it comes out substantially higher, you may have an issue with salt buildup and the problems it brings.

Sustainable Village recommends 1/4 to 1/2 of drain-to-waste EC when using Blumats since there's no runoff.

I'll have to test it tonight after work. I'm not sure what it's at

I have some of the Greenleaf nutrients soluble kelp. Could I mix that up and just hand water it in?

I’d just flush it out to rule out salt buildup or ph shift and then just let them finish in a few days to a week.
Who cares that this has happened when you are practically finished with those plants anyway.
I do Cindy outdoors even though she struggles a bit with mold and it does not matter because Cindy can be harvested earlier for the best high anyway.

Don’t stress they look fine.

I care. I plan on growing these again if they smoke well and would like to optimize the grow next time around. Maybe I don't have time to fix these. Maybe they still go 2, 3,or 4 more weeks and have time to fix a deficiency to squeeze a bit more out of them. By the appearance, I personally don't think they'll be ready in just a week or two.

If I di flush them, would there be any harm in making the flush with the soluble kelp to give them a potassium boost? If so, how much do I mix in?

But you said you were day 53 from flip right?
You are at 7 1/2 weeks on what should be around an 8 week strain?
That’s why I said you shouldn’t care too much because that leaf problem will be all gone with the trim. Take a sample bud now.
Obviously you will try for better next time and dial it in but it don’t look that bad at 53 days.
Off the top of my head, c99 is good to go at around 53 days so there isn’t a catastrophic failure happening.
Do a bit of searching on the optimum harvest day for c99, most people are always saying something around 49-56 days as far as I can remember.

I can’t really advise on kelping the flush as being the solution as I am not sure what the problem is.
The clawing over looks like drowned root death to me but it could be other things.
Checked the root ball? Look heathy still?
Or a bit wet and dead? That’s what I’d check before I’d decide the plant needs nutrients it might not be able to absorb.

they have a few weeks left not just 1/2 a week. the trouble is when a plant has a lockout situation or deficiency this late it stalls out and makes the plant take forever to finish if it does and you do not get the same representation of the plant as you would have otherwise.

Like I said if the thought is it needs a few more weeks and it’s sick then take a bud now as a tester at 53 days then run the plants to what you think is their best day and compare the two samples.
I think you will find the bud you chop now is better. That’s the Cinderella story a haze type high in 7 ish weeks.

Do what you like I’m just talking about my experience with the specific strain in question.

1 gallon New solution

Flushed through one of the plants. I took and cleaned the tray before flushing to prevent that from affecting the numbers too much.

Thanks all for the ideas, solutions, etc.... I'm gonna go ahead and mix up a reservoir and let the blumats just drip and run through the solution tonight and hopefully flush out the media. I'll update in here how that goes.

The runoff EC is ~ 2.5x the input EC; not ideal.
Keep in mind, if the runoff is 2.7EC, it's actually higher in the rootzone.
With DTW, it's usually ~ 10-20% higher than the input EC, at least when things are humming along nicely.

Woah, 1300 PPM? You need to flush that shit. Flush at 600-650PPM until the runoff is about the same. That should take 3-5 times the size of the pot you're in. You could flush at a lower PPM (around half) to get you there sooner, but don't use plain water as that places osmotic stress on the plant and it's already not thrilled.
